why is there not a whisper...

You're right it was harsh. But watch that Arizona game dude. He took shot after shot after shot directly to his head. Kept getting up too. But during that game and afterward what we discussed here was how he needed to be mindful of that.

Cut to the biggest game of his life and what does he do? Yeah. So I know it's harsh but it's true. IMO. Sometimes truth is harsh.
No, I get what you are saying, I just know, that I wouldn't be able to turn it off. Plus, who is to say that if he isn't playing 100% balls to the wall we will even win that game and make it to the playoffs? He certainly couldn't have known it at the time.

What is the Best Band of All Time

I guess I could have made myself more clear. What makes the best band of all time. Is it the sum of its parts? Is it the fact that they are the best at their instruments? Is it clearly just the one you like best? Is it who sold the most records or had the most fame. What defines the best band?

I think The Who with Keith Moon should get a mention as well.
I think you've touched on an impossible question, which is why no one is answering what you've asked. There's plenty of bands that sell tons of records that I think are awful. Wouldn't rate in my top 100. There's some, like Rush, that are great at their instruments but wouldn't make my top 20.

Unfortunately, as you suggested here and in your first post, it must be a very unique and individual thing.

If it was just records sold out would be cut and dry. If it was concert tickets sold, also cut and dry. Top live performance? I hope not because I don't think KISS should really be in the running for best band of all time.

There has to be more to it than personal preference though. My favorite band is Pink Floyd, but I wouldn't call them the best of all time.

If you think about it in terms of another discipline, say who's the best athlete of all time or who's the best sports team of all time, it's easy to see the question is way too vague to have a real answer. There's not enough commonality among athletic events sports or music genres to call out one single best of all time across all of it (it being music or sports or athletics).

If there was a gun to my head and I had to give an answer, I'd say Led Zeppelin because it's an easy answer and hard to argue against. But if i had a deaf friend who had a miracle surgery to give them hearing and they asked me to play them the first piece of music they could actually hear, I'd probably play Van Halen (I also don't think they are the best but it's a good starting point).

3 positions Rams must address this offseason

This post is unnecessarily hostile.

No, I obviously don't think I know more than McVay. All fans can point to decisions they were right about and a coach was wrong about. In most cases it's a 50/50 shot - a decision will either look good or bad.

I don't even remember McVay saying that - but even if I heard him say it, I still wouldn't have expected Hopkins to catch a pass.

And even if you're right and it's a red flag - were talking about the 13th-ish most important player on offense - having an unproven backup TE is fine. Higbee is a good player, having a talented but unproven backup TE doesn't bother me at all. I wouldn't invest anything in the TE group.
Its not hostile, not from my end at least. McVay doesnt draft players, particularly offense skill players, and intentionally sit them the whole year. He was drafted in the 4th round and they planned on using him right away. Johnny Mundt has been nothing more than a JAG for a couple years and this kid couldnt even get PT in front of him. So call it what you will, but if you want to say you expected this, you should have informed the Rams because they didnt

Rams RFA CB Williams gets 1st round tender

Rams need to keep Williams. Whatever it takes. No, he’s not a No. 1 cb, lacks size and physicality for that. But opposite Ramsay he’s awesome. Very rare level of ballhawking anticipation and result— right up there with the best ever.
Well, they've kept him, at least for this year.
I'm hoping Jacksonville isnt familiar with the rules, (god knows they're idiots about running a franchise). They go ahead and sign him to an offer sheet thinking they can give back the Ramsey pick....

Not so fast, Buffalo

Bills are still going to eat the Pats for lunch. Those FA signings aren't too impressive to me. They still have Newton at QB?
They should, but the Bills have work to do on defense otherwise they're going to be the AFC's version of the Packers for the next 10 years. That's not a bad thing(if you're Buffalo) but only one trophy with Aaron Rodgers seems like a fail to me.

In Memorium...

What's funny is the other night I went on Ancestry.com and started looking up my family history. Both sides came from Germany and Ireland, with some Czech in there. I found out more information about my family in 2 hours than I had the previous 20. One thing I learned is that my dad's grandmother's family goes back to Maine in the early 1700s. That I never knew.

But yeah, take advantage of it while you can. I never got to take my dad flying. And I wish I had.

Here’s my list of Rams offseason needs and their probable solution source...

Bonifay’d- forgot to say that sorry if I messed up the post because of needs. I’ll always say add value to The defensive backfield.
I also look at Les Snead & The Rams scouting team. Don’t forget why Brad Holmes is gone. He &squad left those DB’s on The Rams roster.
— Point - even though Floyd surprised you by resigning with The Rams & you were like no way. I still like OLB/DE. That dude from Bama who you think gets hurt & didn’t play well his rookie season should be Bigger,Stronger,Healthier,& Smarter in 2020. Still young $ has an excellent skill set. IMO a 1st rd type of talent that takes longer to develop. OBO is in his contract year.Bukham is even further on the LC.Fox is gone,
Will see. I think The Rams first pick is either a OLB/DE or WR.The good thing is there should be a difference maker at least one of those spots come time for The Rams to pick.
—Yes TE could have real good value there as well, further back also.

Hoping for Rams News Today!

I do too, I'm getting tired and pissed with no news.

The road to winning a Super Bowl goes thru winning our own division first, the Rams may wish to see how our western division rivals approach free agency before proceeding too quickly into the abyss. If there was money to go after Floyd and that fails, there will surely be money left to be spent on others, and once this initial and most expensive phase of free agency is behind us, there will open up a clearer path to get to where we need. jmo.
