Things for New Sailors & Visiting Sub Sailors to Know...

Naw...it was not destroying the dry docks and the fuel depot for the Pacific fleet. IF they had made the dry docks unusable, ships would have to have been towed to the West Coast for repair. As it was, they just needed to refloat the ships and then push them into dry dock nearbye...

That was their 2nd biggest mistake ;)

(you're not expecting any admission from me, are you?):ROFLMAO::zany:

Major NFL rule changes could be coming: 12 things to know about the league's latest proposals

If this rule gets voted through, we can go ahead and call it the "Tom Brady rule" because the Rams would have never proposed it if Brady hadn't done it against them.

Maybe I am still asleep, but what does this mean?

It sort of sounds like a jab at the Rams.

I think if this happened to any team, that would be the team proposing this rule. The Rams just happen to be that team.

A job that you would be good at, but weren't.

My dad is very creative and extremely good at working with Metal and Wood - the exact opposite of me.

I think I got a D in 6th grade art class and only got a D because the teacher felt sorry for me.

Stick figures are about the best I can do in Pictionary.

Anyway - my dad owned a Sheet Metal Shop and had me work the summers when I was a teenager.

He tried to get me to do simple stuff - bending metal at an angle - drilling holes in a certain spot.

He set it up so that it should have been easy for me and I pretty much messed up every piece of metal he gave me.

He gave up any hope of me taking over the shop after those few summers.

And that's why I became an Accountant - lol
I'm understand your pain. I have 6 older brothers and they, like my dad, were all very mechanically inclined. Not me, thank god I was good with computers...

Movies that for whatever reason we can relate to

Finding Forrester

Sean Connery... I haven’t watched in 15yrs, but I really liked that one as a movie nobody was talking about.

I think I found appeal in how two people bonded over one singular thing, where all other differences between them were huge.

Storyline; Jamal Wallace is an inner-city kid from the Bronx who has an aptness at basketball and a genius at writing. While always a C student, Jamal comes to the attention of a prestigious New York City prep school when he scores highly on his standardized tests. While Jamal is given a heavy load at his new school, both he and the school know that the real reason they took him on is for his prowess on the court. Befriended by fellow student Claire and helped along by Pulitzer Prize winning author and recluse William Forrester, Jamal pursues his dreams on and off the court while overcoming obstacles placed by his bitter literature teacher. As Jamal is shaped by Forrester, he finds that he is changing the old writer as well, forcing him to confront his past, and his future.

Who has the best offense in the NFC West? 710ESPNSeattle

Ridley/Jones? No. They're good, but both disappear.

Thielen/Jefferson? Maybe this year. Not last year. Granted Jefferson lit it up as a rookie, but we'll see how he does as a sophomore.

DK/Lockett? No. DK is good, but he makes way too many mental mistakes to be a top guy and while Lockett is a very good #2, he's not better than Woods or Kupp.

Evans/Godwin? Maybe. For Arians' offense, yes. However, with Brady dishing to multiple receivers on mostly short/intermediate passes, their long routes and big bodies are kinda wasted. Notice how in the Super Bowl, they didn't factor in at all.

When I say we have the best WR tandem in the league, I'm also accounting for scheme fit. I think when it's all added up, we have the best tandem in the entire NFL and with the deep ball back on the menu, I think we'll see a lot more production from both of them this season.

I mean statistically every tandem was better even with Julio only playing in 9 games

Ridley: 90-1374-9 in 15 games
Jones: 51-771-3 in 9 games

Jefferson: 88-1400-7
Thielen: 74-925-14 in 15 games

DK: 83-1303-10
Lockett: 100-1054-10

Kupp: 92-974-3 in 15 games
Woods: 90-936-6

Only team without a 1000 yarder, only Falcons the other team without a 10 TDer.

Don't get me wrong, I love Woods and Kupp. They're top 5 and who knows, with Stafford, could become number 1. I just don't see how right now you can call them the best tandem in the league without a grain of homerism.
