The Coach McVay Show- McVay talks About Colts and Buccs

Sean McVay: I have to do a better job getting DeSean Jackson involved in the Rams’ offense

Michael David Smith
Mon, September 20, 2021,

The Rams’ passing game has performed well this season, but wide receiver DeSean Jackson has not been a part of it. Rams coach Sean McVay says that needs to change.

Jackson has just two catches for 21 yards this season, and yesterday he played only three snaps in Indianapolis. McVay said today that Jackson isn’t injured and wasn’t benched, it was just that the Rams didn’t call for the right personnel groupings to get him on the field.

“I’ve got to figure out a better way of getting him involved in the rotation,” McVay said, via Greg Beacham of the Associated Press.

Jackson will turn 35 this season and has struggled to stay healthy in recent years, but the Rams still hope he can become a big-play threat in McVay’s offense.

What are the weakest position groups after cuts?

Is there a clip of that molestation? (Man, never thought I'd type THAT sentence...)

Cuz Young was hot af screaming at that ref.

Young kids must not have heard the stories of guys in the pile literally biting and shoving their knuckles up people's sphincters... those stories from the pile in the 60s and 70s make me glad I wasn't a player back then. Great googily moogily
I don't know. I have the recorded game from Direct TV NFL ticket but I am not smart enough to know how to get it on to this forum. I can tell you that he was being molested & held by a Colt OL'er on his back for the world to see.

I have contacted @Merlin to see if he still has the capacity to secure the video from the time of the snap.

All we have thus far is the time period after the whistle & the RB was down.

Sunday Ticket or Sports Bar?

You guys know about DirecTV Stream? With the subscription it comes with the NFL package for free I believe. I have an Android tv box that has an app that I can watch anything in the world literally lol. So of course it has every sports package. If it wasn't underground I would share it. But good luck

I'd hit you up in a DM, but I'm relegated to my computer room for football now as for a bit there was only four of us living here and now there's seven with two kids and NO ONE, but me and my baby granddaughter (9mos) likes football. And...because I'm stuck in the computer room, I just stream what I can.

By the way, she really does. The ONLY things she will stop and watch the tv for? Sci Fi and RAMS football. Not even kidding. Well, she really likes Bluey on Disney (which is an AWESOME show, fyi), but yeah.

I'd never seen The Orville, the Seth McFarlane quasi-satirical Star Trek parody and she LOVED it. She didn't like original Star Trek as much and kinda likes Next Gen (as with us all, she stops and listens to Capt Jean Luc Picard). I've watched a few sci fi movies with her (that I could, the list is pretty small for a baby) and she liked them...sat up to watch and then leaned back and crashed. She would and has squirmed for anything else. Well, she will fall asleep to Hallmark movies, but I think that's more to do with falling asleep on Grandma than the movies. If she's not sleepy, she can't be bothered to even look at the tv when they're on.

Also, like the perfect Rams grand baby, she doesn't like the SEAHAWKs. Not even kidding, I was watching something in preseason and some Seattle highlights came on and she made that baby "I'm about to cry" lower lip pout. I hugged her and let her know everything was all right and we still have Aaron Donald and she actually stopped fussing. She also doesn't like the 9ers, but her reaction wasn't as bad, iirc. She just stares when the Cards are on the screen.

My whole family can't figure it out, but I'm in heaven.

Sorry, I hijacked my own response to drop a grandchild story. I'm definitely a grandpa now!!!

Rams Snap counts vs. Colts

Troy Reeder baby! That guy is turning out to be a stud. You guys keep on talking about Young but I think Reeder is the better player. He shows up every game. He'll only get better as gets more intune with this defense

Also how the F does SJD get a terrible grade? I want to know how they get their metrics in grading players. I mean give me a break

I like Reeder a lot, but I think the biggest ILB winner is Ernest Jones. He's coming on and is only gonna get better with more playing experience.

GDT: Rams at Colts

It means absolutely nothing now, but it sure looked like the refs missed a delay of game on the Colts TD pass in the 3rd qtr.
It was a 3rd & goal play.

I saw 0:00 when the ball was snapped.

Some crews: the millisecond the clock hits :00, flag.

Other crews: there's a beat between :00 and it's closer to waiting for what would have been -:01 before throwing the flag.

Depends on the crew.

SNF: Chiefs at Ravens

Damien Williams would have won that game.

.
Many in the Chiefs Kingdom have already labeled Clyde a bust. Too slow, poor acceleration, and poor vision. That I can tell you.

Until that moment Clyde had never fumbled. It's a painful irony for sure.

I'm not pulling the plug on Clyde. I do wish he'd lean up a little to increase his burst and acceleration. But he'll never break a long one like D-Will use to. It's a tough situation.

At the end of the day we've yet to replace Kareem Hunt. That hurts as much as any of it.

Matthew Stafford: NFC Offensive Player of the Week

Me gets the feeling that a number of people are projecting. They wanted Goff to fail (and yes we 100% had people like that on this board, because they thought Wentz was the better draft pick), so they think those who rooted for Goff want Stafford to fail like they did.

I just don't understand why people seem so dead set on "proving" that Goff wasn't as good as Stafford, or those who go out of their way to bring him up in every god damn fucking conversation in comparison.

Stafford makes a great throw and it's, "Oh Goff could have never!"... People really need to just fuck off with that shite, Goff won us a lot of games and he did that by making big throws. He scored long TD's with defenders in his face, he scored TD's by stepping up and avoiding the rush, he scored TD's while shaking off a defender, he scored TD's by going to his third or fourth progression.

Stafford is our QB now, and I'm very happy with him. I think he's a better QB, he's got more experience, and he throws a little bit better of a ball. That doesn't mean Goff isn't a good QB though.

After everything Goff did for the team, bringing us back into relevancy, winning games, getting us to the Super Bowl, and what he did for the community, helping children, reading to them, organising fundraisers for fire relief, it's honestly a really shitty look to have so many Rams fans go and trash him.

Lions fans don't trash Stafford, we should be doing the same.
I liked Goff and I hope he does well. His performance under 7-9 Jeff Fisher versus his performance under McVay clearly shows how coaching makes a difference. I think Stafford has done a nice job so far but I don't like that we gave a King's ransom to get Goff and then gave another King's ransom to get Stafford and then giving up Goff in the process.

Goff actually played well against the whiners but his pick 6 was the difference.

WEEK 2: The Late Games

Actually in looking at the pass play, the refs made an okay call - you could say Wilson had forward progress to the 1 yard line and got pulled backwards. It is close but I could say it was an okay call. In addition, you can't call intentional grounding because he was 1 yard past the tackle box so he could throw it away like that.
