After Winning SB 34, Was it Stupid to Trade Warner?

We are so spoiled having AD these days, but I think we take it for granted how hard it was to find a decent DT in the bad old days... Adam K. was just another busted dream pick to fix the problem....
We are beyond spoiled

Will never find another DT after he retires that is probably 80% of his ability

But to have Merlin Olsen as another DT in our history sure was excellent as well

Lets talk Playoffs and remaining Schedule

..,

So IF we MUST go to GB for a third time, if our guys are healthy, Id like our chances.

I know this is all speculation and it may never happen but its fun to think about. Must build off the momentum of Monday night.

Go Rams

Rams would need a performance like the one against Arizona from the offense and the front seven. Stafford would have to bring his best level of concentration and efficiency as he just did against the Cards. AD and the line would have to dominate as they just did.

Question imo is whether the secondary could also play at a high enough level to slow down Rodgers in GB.

After our last game imo we definitely would have a chance. We would be underdogs of course until we win.

New Matrix/Unreal 5 Engine demo

I saw the ad for this and didn't understand what it was. Is there a point to it? Things for you to actually do other than just walk or fly around the city? It looked cool but what I watched didn't do a good job of showing why I'd want to play it for more than an hour.

It's basically a tech demo from what I understand, but I haven't tried it out yet. If it's free probably doesn't hurt to check it out.

I'm unsure if I'll pick up the game since the Matrix was never really my thing, but I'll probably try the demo out if I have time, but I've been very preoccupied lately so I haven't had any.

Missed the whole game tonight

Got to watch the whole game tonight. Thanks again everyone.

Good for McVay and the rest of the coaches for adjusting the last two games and leaning on Sony Michel and the running game along with more play-action. AD and the rest of the front seven took enough pressure off the DB's to get us a win.

Stafford is scary good when he's on. Btw how was that facemasking on Stafford not called? WTH?

So…no Brycen?

Hopkins has been a waste from the jump, and the TE room on this team is really weak
Higbee thank god has 2 years left, but other than that the situation is bleak. The fact that we are lamenting the loss of Mundt shows how bleak the situation is.
Harris was fun in TC/PS, but McVay already made it clear he was a WR. Blanton is a JAG, Hopkins is hopeless, that Tim Tebow effort of a block was embarassing

Tavon Austin .... Wow!

We'll never really know.
IMO Woods in Buffalo = Stedman in St. Louis.
Had he made it to the Goff / McVay era, then I think we'd know for sure.
Ever seen Stedman's WV tape? go watch it. Never seen a college tape of a WR that long. Usually those vids have a few TD's where the DB falls down or something & the WR is all alone to catch a TD. Not much of a "highlight" reel if you ask me.
But Stedman's... TD after TD where he makes contested, tight window, hands, every catch you can imagine. Kid had flypaper hands & an indefatigable spirit. Still tried to make a comeback with part of his skull missing. He's a Ram for Life to me.

I agree. He had some amazing plays in the Lou, and if he made it into McVay's team, he'd probably be a solid slot receiver/returner. I watched his West Virginia tape over and over, and I predicted that we'd draft him in the third round in my final 2013 mock, the exact selection. He and S-Jax are two what-ifs: what if Bailey lasted to LA, and what if S-Jax was in his prime with a McVay team?

Kupp

Fuck Shannon.

Kupp gets a yard and a half more per catch than either of those guys.. has as many TDs as Edleman in half as many games.. and this is his first season with a top-tier talent at QB and look at what's happened.

He's like a combo of one of those guys and Hines Ward.
Kupp is an incredible athlete. Leading the league in yards after catch. Can't tell me there is anyone better even just as an athlete.

Adams is great too, but it helps to have Rodgers throwing the ball.

NFL and gambling

So the NFL decided they were going to make a 6th round draft pick that no one ever heard of their “poster boy”.

Ok.

no. where did i say that?

during the 2001 season it all began.

they liked the look of this brady character. strong jaw line, could be mistaken for captain america.

and in the playoffs it evolved. after that he practically got 100% of all the calls and non calls in the playoffs ever since the playoffs that season.

prove me wrong. show me where the refs called anything against him when the games were tight. anything.

then try to show me 5 calls against him.

please.

Prayers go out to those affected by last nights tornadoes

Awful.

I lived in Kentucky for a few years and went through one storm where tornadoes touched down (fortunately, not too close to where I was) ... and I can safely say, there is no natural disaster that puts the fear of God in my more than a tornado. There was one a bit north of where I live now, in Jarrell, Texas, not long after I move here that was an F5 and wiped out a good part of that town as well. Man those things are fucking scary and vicious. Mother Nature can be a real, mercurial bitch sometimes.

Amazon Aims To Take 'ManningCast' Away From ESPN

I don't like the 'Manning cast' at all. I'm not one to be in awe enough of someone's greatness to want to listen to them shooting the shit while watching a game. It was a pretentious concept to begin with imo. It would be better to have them actually doing a real broadcast on the game. There is a dearth of good broadcasters in the NFL right now. We need some knowledgeable commentators that are more about the game than their voice inflection during an exciting play.
