I can see him on the TV/game intros in that hair…
“Andrew Whitworth, Left Tackle, LSU”

So, the tuck rule was utilized once, just once in the history of the NFL? Was it ever called before or after Brady's tuck?
Oh I didn't forget. There are LOTS of details behind the NFL nudging things for 9/11, including allowing the taping and disposing of the evidence after it came to light. I chose to leave them out because a) we've discussed this ad nauseum and b) i don't want to get too worked up with negative energy on this magical Super Bowl victory week!Don't forget about the filming of our practices. That always helps when you're the underdog.
That's definitely one Lombardi that should have been taken from the cheaters
Also want to attack the whole field with the run so lets see Jefferson on jet sweeps. Left and right.
Or, if Jefferson is banged up isn't the PR also WR? If so, let him runs a few JS's as he seems quite decisive and elusive.
Seems to me there’s more to coaching than grand schemes, there’s a lot to be said for simplicity and letting your players play, especially if you have some of the best players in the game.Weddle came in with 13 years of experience and was asked to play the position he knows. Explain the grand schemes Morris has done??? Gaines has been developing the past three years well before Morris got here. That’s why trades were made in mind before Morris stepped on the field to coach. Scott has been assigned basic coverage spots and made plays that’s to the season vets up front (basic schemes to create pressure). Nothing extraordinary or grand about the coaching.
Look at the over composition of the defense from last year to this year. Which would most fans like to have in place.
We can disagree to disagree but please know your post didn’t move the needle. Likely neither did mine for you.
It says he's gone this offseason imo. I think a lot of the way the defense was called through the season was due to distrust with the starting safeties and to a degree the linebackers. Rapp is just a terrible read and react guy it seems. Its a great story and all, but what does this say about Rapp?
I should add that imo you have to be careful about assuming that a particular trade based or draft based strategy is the right answer. Kevin Demoff points this out in his recent interview on the Rams site. A lot of elements have to come together for a free agent driven strategy to work.
The Rams have these right now. Rams have a contending team, a championship window driven by AD, a super attractive location, a coach players want to play for. And an owner with deep pockets, the best new stadium anywhere, a win now direction to the club, and a need to make a big splash in LA.
But without a solid core adding pricy free agents is a losing strategy. You have to have some critical mass of a good roster first, which almost always begins with the draft. Cincinnati is certainly showing how this can work even in a smaller market.
Fisher with Snead had built a core roster, but in St. Louis the franchise simply couldn't attract big time free agents, and not just because of the location.
Rams have so far proved that they can target the right guys. They wouldn't be in the Super Bowl without late season additions of Miller and OBJ (as McVay said this week.) They have not only fit in but filled key structural positions that have enabled both the offense and defense to play much, much better. Stafford has similarly repaid McVay's faith in him, though he needs to win the big one to fully eclipse the Detroit narrative.
And the Rams have thus far have backfilled the roster with lower draft picks.--- though at times and without the addition of Miller and OBJ this was looking perilously close to a not quite good enough strategy which left holes in the roster. There are still holes in the roster which might have been filled with higher draft picks.
I highly recommend Demoff's recent interview on the Rams' site for his extraordinary candor and humility about all this. He points out that the strategy thus far might not work next year or might need to change going forward at any time. It is NOT set in stone. Also credits Kroenke and McVay big time for the foundation of the Rams' success (as well as Snead and others.)
I'm in the same boat. I have respect for Wison too, but of course can't stand his team or HC, though I hate them less than the Dirty Whiners and Redturds probably because of Wilson. Dude has taken some shots with his swiss cheez OL.Despite the fact that he plays for Seattle, I've always liked and respected Wilson. He's a tough dude who hasn't had a decent offensive line in awhile. He's carried that team on his back the last few years. Without him, they're rebuilding. The NFC is going to be interesting next year. With Brady gone and Rodgers possibly headed to Denver or Tennessee, Stafford, Dak, and Wilson are the premiere QBs left in the conference. The toughness and savvy that Stafford has shown this year is really something. To think it's his first year here with the Rams. Let's hope we can keep the core of this group together for the next 4-5 years.
Namath didn't have that great of a game, he just managed it well, didn't make mistakes, hit the open receivers quickly and relied on his ground game. If Burrow does all those things then we will be in for a tough day.Said it before saying it again that Cincy's right side Ol is ripe for DC Morris to plunder!
Two very smart seasoned Edge Rushers in Floyd/Miller should feast on Sunday. I will be highly disappointed if they do not.
I sure do not see this Cincy OL being effective in the run blocking either with Gaines/Robinson either. Both these DL'ers have come on strong this last quarter of the season. I have yet to see any OL'er move either of them out of position at the point of contact. It normally takes two OL'ers to get them moving back. Even reserve UDFA DT Marquise Copeland is catching on as a run-stuffer .... DC Morris needs to blow up that offense's only weak-link unit early & get them on their heels & desperate.
Cincy's Joe Borough will have to have a Joe Namath 1969 SB game event this Sunday in order to dominate this Ram defensive front five. But we have seen it before when they said that about the Shula's Baltimore Colt's defense too.
Since it’s already been decided I thought this was about the SB mvp and I hope it’s Akers, which would mean we ran the ball all over their suspect run defense and kept the ball away from a defense that has several picks in the playoffs.Stafford took himself out of the running with the string of pick 6s in November. They cast their votes for MVP before the playoffs, it's a regular season award only. I would say Cooper Kupp is the Rams MVP.
If the media is on some BS now it's how Joe Burrow has been the best QB in the playoffs. Stafford's postseason passer rating is 20 points higher than his.
They didn't throw a flag on Ramsey either, did they? Or am I remembering it wrong?Did they throw a flag
Wait where did you see Uzomah practicing? As of right now it looks like a no go for both.
They probably felt the it deserved a flag (which is too late), but not a fine.Since when is it "no flag no fine?" I seem to recall the league laying out fines for shit the refs miss in the past. Especially in the playoffs where it's so easy to review the details with lesser film to watch.
