Can finally cross that movie off my movies bucket list
7.5 / 10
I've known for years , that Spencer's Mountain is what The Waltons were based off of
and years ago , probably more then 30 , I thought cool , I need to check out the movie , great cast , Henry Fonda , Maureen O'Hara , how can you go wrong
but then I learned they changed the location from Virginia to Wyoming , and the time line from the depression era 1930's , to the 1960's , so right then , all of a sudden I lost some interest , I was like if it doesn't take place during the depression , what was the point
although I was always interested still in watching it , always heard good things , but it was just one of those movies , I just kept kicking it on down the road
till last night , finally got around to watching , any yea , it was a pretty decent movie , not really sure the point of the changes though , other then a couple exterior shots , it probably could have passed off as Virginia , or a couple shots of a couple automobiles , it could have easily passed as the 1930's
overall a enjoyable movie , I'm glad that after 30 years or so , I finally got around to watching it...........lol
Could the surviver have a more British response when asked how he escaped...
"I managed to unbuckle myself, used my leg to push through that opening, and crawled out,"
If Stafford ends up on IR prior to the season, I expect the Rams to go with Garoppolo > Bennett. I don't think they're going to fuck around with draft capital for a season where not only Stafford's status but also Jackson's status is up in the air. Bottom line is you are unlikely to win shit when you don't have QB or LT and none of the QBs we could get prior to the deadline are much better, if at all, than Jimmy. Which is why I was thinking someone might try to shake him loose from us, well, prior to this back issue taking more shape with Stafford.
Also and again the Manning family are known screeners of potential teams for their QBs. I agree that Manning is very unlikely to come out, also that he has a ton to prove in college as it stands right now. And even if he were to surprise and come out the chances of the Rams drafting that high, when we saw McVay win 5 games in the SB hangover season with zero OL, is almost astronomically small. So I don't understand this continued and massive Manning boner the board has. I mean let me know if either we bomb in an epic manner or Atlanta does (which would be much more likely). Until then this shit's like talking about winning powerball.
I can only speak for myself but I lost a ton of interest in UFC when it went to ESPN+
This will be a great move. Hopefully they bring back Ultimate fighter, I loved that show
I think they've moved on from Limmer at Center, because they haven't made time for him to improve on the calls. Just reading between the lines, or trying to fwiw, I'd say that by the time this year's camp and preseason is over the depth chart at C will be Shelton > Lampkin.
If something were to happen to Shelton you insert Lampkin. Limmer from there would be considered if he were to not be up, or if he were to struggle.
Limmer is first dude off the bench at Guard. Then Dedich, though his roster spot may still be up in the air.
Tackle who the fuck knows. It's a mess and probably doesn't matter once you get past Jackson & Hav.
I’ll start off with Stetson Bennett & his maturity. Sean Mcvay & Les Snead spot this guy out from the beginning.
For all he has went through & The Rams Franchises support. To allow him to find himself as a person & a MAN. Keeping it in house.
He came up with PUKA & Kupp was hurt?? My thoughts are that when Kelly brought up Matthew Stafford not being to relate to Rookies was because of STETSON IMO ?? We can all have out questions about it & go back in time ?? I just put the picture together.
Puka has been a veteran from the beginning as a Rookie. His first 2 years are IMPRESSIVE!! What he’s in The NFL Top 100 ?
When Stetson came up the backup QB ended up being Carson Wentz,so that is what it is.SO Bennetts rookie year he is competing with Rypein & Dresser Winn. In the preseason The Talent was there.
Fast forward to 2024 & Bennett gets to work with 2 of The NFL’s best in Stafford & G! Got preseason games in.
Now 2025 - Bennett still has no pressure Working with Dresser Winn still around as well, while working with The Best.
RAG’s could have left as well as the QB coach, but the surroundings Bennett is around is FIRST CLASS. Add Lafleur & Mcvay to the group.
From the start- this is The Classic way of developing a QB!! I hear all that Manning talk & drafting a QB in 2026.
What drivers ME CRAZY is why not enjoy what you have, and at least embrace it a little bit.
Glad he is signed. Corum, meh. Hunter might be something special.
But, we have all these 5' 9" type dudes. I am waiting for the Rams to get back to drafting top O linemen AND big studs at RB. Like ED, Bettis, Jackson, Gurley.
I want to see some more of this.
It was either that or delete it. I stuck a prefix on it.
Free speech and all that. I was hoping it would be on page 2 by now but here we are at the top of page 1
Of course there is. Rumors were rampant that he made the pick. If he did, then his answer is nuts, if he didnt and told the truth there is nothing wrong with what he said.
You have a valid point and I should have post link. But since it's Haslam , i will retract my statement.
but he is by far the worst owner in the league. And that was the point of my post . to show how
grateful we should be to have the ultimate owner in Stan the man.
