Best rosters minus QBs from Simms

We finally found something Simms is good at, making ridiculous lists.
We all probably agree qb is the most important position on a football team, the rams won the super bowl twice immediately after upgrading the qb. So it’s possible to have a good roster and still suck.
The niners and eagles have major qb questions, the Bucs have major oline issues, the Chiefs lost their #1 offensive weapon and the ravens still don’t have a quality wr.
The qb can make up for a lot of deficiencies on the roster, so what’s the point of this?

Run Game needs to take a leap this year.

I think we are all aware that you don't need balance. Given that we just won a Super Bowl without it.

Having a conversation about how to improve it and maybe the root of the problems and why we have struggled should not require a caveat in every post where we feel the need acknowledge it. I think everyone here understands all that, or most do.
This offense is going to be tough out of the gate unlike last year when there were injuries to deal with.
I agree we don’t need balance but it’s nice to have, especially if you can get a lead. The Tampa game should’ve been a disappointing beat down to end Brady’s career. The rams run the ball and bleed the clock and it’s on to the SB. The gsot rams were very good at it,of course having Faulk was a big part of that, but maybe with the backs they’ve assembled they can create a decent run game. One that can close out a game and take some stress off that elbow.

RAMS FINAL ROSTER - BIGGEST SURPRISES

Kurt Warner was #2 on that roster I believe.
In '98 Dick Vermeil brought him in as a camp arm from Amsterdam in Europe and cut him in the final roster cuts.

He was brought back for camp in '99 as the third stringer.

I remember seeing him on the rosters at quarterback and was surprised to see he had, (almost) the same name as the Seattle Seahawks running back.

He started as a third stringer but may have worked his way up to 2nd string by the time he stepped in for Trent Green.

So I'm going to say we're both right on this one.

OJ Howard Cut

That's exactly it. Hasn't looked like the same player since tearing his Achilles. Looked like he was going to be a star back in 2018.
Riddle me this Batman. Who was the better pick?

Josh Ross #9’cinncy?

OJ Howard #17

Or Les Snead trading back & drafting Gerald Everett? Adding John Johnson.
Just in salary cap alone The Rams did better. Add the comps picks as well.

Snead talks about winning a championship in April(March)

Wes Welker wants disability

I'll just let you read the letter. He gave them medical records. They demanded more. And considering none of us know what medical records he gave and the NFL's horrible history of trying to screw former players, I'm not inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Again, fair enough. They haven’t earned the benefit of the doubt.

Per the letter, seems his surgeons were very lax in keeping his records… where’s the plan prior to surgery and reasons for it including pathology, alternatives to surgery undertaken or declined and why, as well as the detailed description of the injury and how the surgery is expected to solve the issue and post surgery, what was the outcome.

All that is standard. If he didn’t get that, someone somewhere dropped the ball

Parking at SoFi ?

I've done the park and go, but it was in the preseason last year.
It was a hot mess with the buses that were suppose to pick us up and take us back, so we ended up walking both ways.
It sounds as if they MAY have gotten that cleaned up and more organized.

The Forum is still a good option IMO.
It's directly adjacent to Sofi.
The only downside, is they don't allow tailgating.

Rams Preseason Finale - Your “Likes” and “Dislikes”

One preseason play stands out vividly in my mind (plus I still have the pics from the LA Times). Wendell Tyler running over Jack Tatum as the Ram beat the Raiders in 1978. Never counted, never highlighted in NFL films, but it happened. On a running play Tyler broke into the open in the middle of the field, Tatum closed in on him for the hit, Tyler lowered his head and there was a collision, and then he spun around and kept going as Tatum fell to the ground. Classic stuff.

These last 10+ years watching preseason can be very boring. I get it, watching the rooks and seeing them shine, but yeah there are definitely some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz moments.
Don't remember this one but do remember him doing that to Jack Ham of the Steelers. knocked him on his ass!

What happened to our OL?

We all realize the Rams lost two starters from the SB team. Both of the open starting positions were replaced by their #6 & #7 2021 reserve OL'ers Shelton/Noteboom.

The Rams have the same reserves OL'ers Evans/Anchrum/Jackson..... all three were on the 2021 Roster last season, however, the Rams are current down 2 MR53 OL positions from last season. It should be said that both Noteboom & Anchrum had significant IR events last season.

Does anyone have any ideas on who will be the replacement for Carberry's 2021 Coleman Shelton position as the Swing OC/OG?

The same question can be asked on who will replace the Swing OT 2021 Joe Noteboom position. Bobby Evans? Alaric Jackson?

I've seen some comments by a few members who believe the Rams will be okay with this current 8 OL'ers.

Are there differing thoughts out there on the Ram's 2022 OL unit having been improved or enhanced? Or is this OL now considered less endowed or significantly lower in power & strength? What about the number of Ol'ers?:bueller:

Damn right I'm worried. Another season where Bobby Evans is only an injured player away from possibly starting ?
Right after Bruss went down I said it's time for a trade, I'll say it again, although not likely until we've filled our Practice Squad in a day or two.
Stay in shape Whitworth !

GAME DAY Preseason Week 3 - Rams at Bengals

1 - Austin Trammell, WR: 83.6

Trammell actually graded out higher than preseason star McCutcheon; however, he was only on the field for two snaps. During his limited playing time he grabbed a 10-yard pass from Bryce Perkins.

It’s not clear why Trammell was only on the field for a short time, but he’s played well enough this season to be on some team’s practice squad - whether he stays with the Rams remains to be seen.
Holy shit look at how well he caught that 10 yard pass! I'm giving him an 83.6 for that.
