NFL.com 3 Round Mock

I got that I just find stuff like this funny. It's similar to coach speak if coach says something people agree with it's cool otherwise it's just coach speak. If a player is listed at a weight and somebody agrees with it it's cool otherwise we don't trust what the list says. A lot of the times these aren't changed from the time a player is drafted, for the record AD at the combine weighed in at 285 and it may have never changed but he dropped weight as soon as he got in the NFL. We don't know that's my point. It makes no sense to doubt what we're told by the team unless we have something from the player like in AD's case to counter that. The Rams tell us Floyd weighs 240 then he likely does and what is the difference if he weighs 245 or 248 or whatever we think he might weigh? He weighed 244 at the combine so maybe he lost weight when he got to the NFL like AD.

I agree with you in general. I agree with you on Floyd; and even wrote earlier that “I have no idea what he weighs”. I agree with you on Donald. I agree with you that we generally ‘don’t know’; and ‘it makes no sense to doubt what we are told’. MOST of the time.

However, “in some instances“, there are exceptions. Like Alaric Jackson.

Would you have believed or accepted that Jackson weighs 285 lbs because that’s his listed weight?

I didn’t because I couldn’t, because he was clearly a LOT heavier than that.

Calijah Kancey (DL / Pittsburgh)

Kancey ran really well yesterday. His Forty and 10-yard-split were elite. Curious about his Bench Reps. Disappointed not to see him do any of the D-Line-drills. Unlikely to be available at #36.

When I started this thread back in mid-January, I noted that I am NOT a fan of Highlight Tape because it can be very miss-leading. However, Kancey's highlights were amazing in my opinion.

Was Not THEN, and am Not NOW comparing him to Aaron Donald. Just noting some elite traits.

Also thought he looked a little pudgy yesterday ... I am a little pudgy, so I know PUDGY!.

NFL teams stuck in purgatory

If the Bears pair Fields up with the right OC and get some weapons they can be dangerous. They've got an absurd amount of cap space and draft capital to burn. Of course, that doesn't mean anything if the front office fudges it up or the coaches don't put their team in the best positions to win but they have potential with Fields if he can stay healthy running. If, if, if lol

Your been there, done that list

being on pit road when tony stewart did 5 laps in his indy car @ charlotte motor speedway prior to the "T-Rex" winston race. i think he hit 207 mph as his fastest.

being on pit road (i see a pattern) at the 1997 ARCA Daytona 200 race. i was cleaning the car with our sponsors product, and series sponsor and all the other teams sent people over to see what i was doing and then they took their own cans (we had to distribute it to all race teams) and started cleaning their cars thinking i had given our team some magical advantage.

i was in the staging area for NHRA event @ Kirkersville, Ohio and while watching pairs qualify i wasn't using my binoculars and someone next to me takes them and as I look up to see who has them I recognize Don Prudhomme watching the tire tracks of his drag car with the binoculars.

Do You Remember Where You Were, When....

Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon...
When the Beatles broke up...
Reagan was shot...
Space Shuttle Challenger exploded....
Sept 11...
Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon-Best I can remember was watching it on video TV in 9th-grade class @ Johnson Jr. High Eau Gallie FL. My dad worked at the Cape for Lockheed so it was a big deal.

When the Beatles broke up... did not care, they were way too light for my small brain ....I was too busy blowing out my brains & eardrums with Mountain/ Alvin lee-Ten Years After/ Cream/ Black Sabbath & Uriah Heep. I recall the death of John Lennon far much more, was a big fan of his music/ work.

John Kenndy Assassination.. 3rd-grade classroom late afternoon in Sherwood Elementary Wickham Park Brevard County Fl.

Reagan was shot... At work @ Close Custody Prison. The inmates told us while they were raising hell/ going off & laughing. I was highly upset! Very big on RR!

Space Shuttle Challenger exploded.... It was a very cold bright sunny morning & went outside to see the smoke remains blow down range far to the SW of where I lived @ that time in Central FL.

Sept 11...At work & walked into my office, TV was on Secretary told me a small plane & hit one of the twin towers in NYC. Never seen anything like it, hope to never see it again. Just Stunned & angry!

Bold Predictions - Rams 2023 Off-Season

I’d could see an Akers trade after the Rams secure Bijon Robinson in the draft. ( As Memphis suggestion in the draft forum) McVay has been pretty consistent with focusing on offense with his earliest picks recently. .

Maybe trading for Deandre Hopkins and trading or cutting Allen Robinson. McVay likely dreams of Nuk the same way he did Von and OBJ.

What I’d hope to see is signing an edge and an interior Olineman (preferably a center) Those two things could do a lot to shoring up two major holes. I wonder if Wendell will have an inside track on some players.
Trading for Hopkins is a pipe dream. The cards are in our division. No way they let him go to a team like the Rams. No way.

I'll add to this. Could you imagine coop and Hopkins on the same team? My gawd

Is Floyd next ?

Tough situation. Edge is definitely an area of need. Floyd is the best edge rusher. But he's overpaid for the amount of production he provides. If they do move on from him I hope they have a plan for the edges. We were lacking in that area last year. Hoecht showed promise but he has the size more suited for inside. Maybe a designated pass rusher in passing situations?

A new tight end could do wonders for this offense...

Unfortunately I do. It concerns me.

I don't think McVay is a good source for either RB or TE. In other words I think Snead needs to identify guys who have shit that McVay overlooks and/or does not prioritize.

As it pertains to TE there are some real ones that should be on the board when we're up. That is very exciting to me. But what is equally terrifying is McVay telling him what they need is some passcatchy sumbish who will play like a pussy on the edge in the run game. Some guy who is all weapon like Everett, or Hopkins, or Harris. Fucking enough with those guys man. Enough already.

Exactly! The coaches I grew up playing exemplified this, if you are are a RB, TE, WR you must learn/know how to block proficiently or you’re never sniffing the field!

Now I know there are offensive systems predicated to TE’s ( Antonio Gates etc.) that never was a full blown blocker but with the type of offense McVay’s system is designed to run optimally, is where every player knows how to block and contribute. That’s what got McVay our HC job and how we blasted out the beginning of his HC career.

I think he’s gone away from that a bit, hopefully Snead can make some beastly trades/picks and get us with some young talent again on the offensive side of the ball.

( Also we need to rebuild this O-Line and get a bell cow again Charbonnet or Miller this draft )

The Cam Akers Enigma - Do the Rams need to add a starting RB?

What really matters is an impact player with that round 2 pick. I honestly don't care what position they go with. In fact if it's not the most obvious need it probably means it's a true-to-the-board type pick most likely. Which means maybe we hit big on a guy who will elevate this team.

That's what we need. Too many satisfied stars last season, some might bounce back but we need an infusion of play-quick types who scare the others on the depth chart and that round 2 pick has to be a hit. We need quality there. Not a fucking 3 year development with amazing potential where we miss out on that cheap valued starter. A player with a history of producing who slid from whatever position. There's some of those guys every year let's get one of them.

Yeah - ok Tutu Atwell
