The songs that I love are mostly from the 60's to the early 90's but I'm always eager to be introduced to a an artist, band, or song I've never listened to. So bring it on!

What better way to kick things off than AC/DC's "For Those About To Rock(We Salute You)."

woke up to this one on the radio today

That's another thing. What is with waking up with tunes that we haven't heard in years and possibly don't even like? The other morning the first thing my brain started playing after waking up was that awful Melanie song "Brand New Key." I really hate that song and it took me an hour of blasting AC/DC to get it out of my head. Lousy brain!

Funny thing is I was at a birthday party last night and the guest of honor was streaming Melanie Safka on Spotify..she actually has some pretty decent songs out there

I would have had to start drinking again. ;)

This song has been stuck in my head for a few days now. The band that sings this song ... One Drop... doesn't have any decent videos on YouTube (they've got some good tunes to check out though). But,,, THESE two Island Bois do a pretty cool job with an acoustic version of the song that's been stuck in my head, and the ukulele brings me back to the 808...

It's odd that you mention waking up with a song.........the last few days I have woken up with the song I'm in the Mood for a Melody playing in my head while I break into that morning awareness.
