Ha ha, sorry I should have explained better. A bag of sand is slang for a grand. So I wanted a thousand of your American dollars on a horse that was racing at Cheltenham on Saturday in a big national hunt (jump racing) race here in England. I actually went to the meeting and the horse disappointed, but I only had ten pounds on it rather than a thousand thankfully. I hope that clears things up and feel free to use my slang at anytime..........it's my gift to you!
