What is it about the words "Worse" and "Worst" that has so many forum users across the interwebs so confused?

It always kills me how the simplest parts of our language seems to be such a struggle for some...

There's nothing worse than misspelling the same words over and over, and the worst example is there, they're and their.

Let's not forget who's and whose. That one irritates the hell outta me.
I think there are some people completely unaware that there is a word "whose."
