It's a good offense led by a prick of a HC and a HoF QB that has talent at all the skilled positions. There could be a lot of people that have a good game.

I think he will. We struggled against big tight ends last year and I think it'll be the same this year.

I don't think Brees and Cook are totally on the same page yet, so I don't think he's gonna "go off". But I can't stand this guy, after his experience with the Rams... crucial drops, acting like an A$$ on the sideline, contract demands, etc.

The issue will be that we will have to double Michael Thomas or Alvin Kamara and its gonna leave Cook 1 on 1 with a Lb or CB and he is big and will have the advantage. I watched their monday night game and I think they didnt use him much purposely in preparation for this game. He is a big body and they didnt use him once in the red zone. So I don't buy it. He will cause issues. When they had sproles and jimmy graham, they use to torch teams due to having to pick your poison. Double sproles or double graham and the other would go off. Same here with kamara and cook.

I think they will also target NRC. Last week they targeted Aaron Colvin with the texans and he found himself on the unemployment line the next day. I dont think NRC can stay with Ted ginn or Kamara. Hell qb taysom hill even caught a td last monday..who knows

Difference in our safeties is night and day from that last outing he had against us. Rams gonna have Weddle/Johnson/Rapp on the field for a lot of plays and all 3 are plus coverage options.

Hard to believe he was the best receiver for the Rams not too long ago IIRC. Players always want to play good against former teams. He looked a little stronger/bigger last year and can still run. I think they put Johnson on him in the second half and stopped him cold. Have to do the same thing this time around.

Anybody gonna realize Everrett can be just as lethal? All McVay has to do is use him. He's a hybrid type also.

These teams can both go to oblivion in the passing game...so there should be no doubt Cooks can have a great game...BUT...like in the Raider game...the Saints can still lose!

That, in essence is the bottom line...WHO WINS. What I saw in the Texans game, is a Saints defense that gave up bigtime yards passing...and Goff has more weapons on the field than the Texans.

*Generally*, the team that falls behind by 10 or more, is most likely the one who will lose. Having said that, I think the Rams are better equipped to stop the Saints.

These teams met twice in two barnburners last year...the Rams took the game that counted..

I'd say probably - with Talib last year in the playoffs, Thomas wasn't much of an issue. I'd bet Cook has a huge game.

Here's the good news though: later in the season when the Saints need a win to lock up home field, he'll drop multiple wide open TDs and cost them a game.

I'd ask the same question to the Aint's.... is Brandin Cooks (former aint) going to torch them this week? :p:rolleyes:
Well the issue is that they've faced him already and know what to expect, but we havent faced Jared cook with this offense yet. He put up huge numbers on us with derek carr as his qb last year and that is what's more concerning. I found his last year highlights versus us and you cant tell me this isnt concerning with our history against big tight ends..look at Gronkowski back in the superbowl

Cooks is very good, not sure I’d use the elite label though. Love him on the team though.

My thing is that nobody is even.mentioning him and he was a pro bowl tight end last year with freaking derek carr. Now he has drew brees throwing to him. Brees is super accurate and can just throw the ball up to cook. He is a big guy. I remember seeing him when he played for the rams and he is a tower

Cook had four games with 100 yards or more and nine games with 32 yards or less last year. He's an all or nothing tight end.

Brees is still going to look to Thomas first and Kamara second. 50% of his throws went to those two players last year and it was the same against Houston.
