Having been born out in California, I started out as a Dodger fan (and Rams of course). But then I moved to Louisville in 1970, and I got hooked watching the Cincinnati Reds. ( the heyday of The Big Red Machine). I now live in the south and have been following the Reds ever since and, of course, have stayed loyal to the Rams.
Can't stand the Yankees but sure can get behind your rationale.dear old granddad was a NY Yankee fan and so am I..it's the team I grew up with and grew old with, and will be the team that I die with..same as the Rams
Let me guess, lost interest in baseball at the age of 13 or 14?I was a huge Dodgers fan when I was a little kid. Garvey, Lopes, Russell, Cey, Baker, Yeager...
Even had a little book on how to throw a curve ball, written by Don Sutton, and implemented it in little league.
Then, as I got older, I stopped caring about baseball in favor of playing football.
Really don't watch much baseball anymore.
Pretty much. Around the time I started JV Football.Let me guess, lost interest in baseball at the age of 13 or 14?
Very very common. Most of the kids I coached in LL dropped out around then to pursue, football, basketball, vagina, etc. And that's about the age where coaches forget about kids having fun and go all out to win all the time so if you are not one of the top 9 guys, you ride the pine ALL the time and lose interest and go snake the other player's girlfriends.Pretty much. Around the time I started JV Football.
