Did Carson just put himself into a Taysom Hill type of role in short yardage situations? He could be utilized to run those short yardage plays with a threat to throw or run with Kyren. Opens up some options IMO. He is certainly a better QB sneak option than Stafford.

Adds more to next weeks game as he has some skin vs Goff as well lol.

And his ability to pull it back and throw, a la the 2 pointer, is an absolute weapon!!!

Exactly what I was thinking. Rams found a wildcat QB and TE depth today.

He... did pretty good for what he is! But I did not like some of his pocket movement (moving when no pressure) and the pitch to Freeman worked but those plays have been backbreaking turnovers most of his career. But if he can fix the attitude problems and comes cheap, I'd roll with him as a backup.

Great point! That could and maybe should geg a lot of consideration to keep Stafford out of those situations.

He did a great job in those situations and having that in your pocket certainly gives defenses something else to think about.

What attitude problem? By all accounts he has been excellent since coming to the Rams.

That is true. There is the rest of his career. Honestly, it's so well documented, I think you can just look it up. The majority of time it's been while he's the starter so maybe these issues, like blaming others for his mistakes, won't be there when he's not playing.

Did anyone see the play where he put his shoulder down and just lit into the 9ers LB?

I really don’t care what the gossip is related to him in the past, it’s irrelevant and not what ROD does with current Rams players.

They got it done today in SF with him leading the O so he gets props for that with no shade.

That stuff shows how quick people are to condemn or avoid the stench of failure (and I'm not talking just fans here, the coaches are human too). He thought the Eagles were his team but he had lost the locker room for whatever reason, probably a fat head. People fuck up. But I care more about whether they can learn from it and apply what they know. Because then it's what you call wisdom.

The Colts were a joke last season. I saw enough of them to know their line was shit. Carson likes to hero ball, it's a weakness of his. But whatever went down with that owner I don't think it's worth thinking the player is a shitbag. Not like he ever said one bad word about either team that I can recall.

So personally I'm happy for him and for us, because we needed a backup QB. And I doubt that's enough to get him a starting gig. But we might lose him for backup money if some team decides to get stupid. We'll see.

Rams really should utilize Wentz in situations next week. Seriously. He’s a weapon in short yardage.
You're imagining him executing a tush push aren't you.

Kudos to Wentz. He beat the whiners again. Yes, they rested players but so did the Rams.

I think McVay can weave in a few plays for Wentz which could be trick plays. That would be cool.
