Has there been a season recently where so many weak teams have made the playoffs?

I mean, none of the following teams stand a chance... And if they somehow make the Superbowl we have a blowout candidate on our hands.

Carolina Panthers - We all know their story. NFC South winner by default.

Indianapolis Colts - The perennial paper champion. Every year the Colts emerge from the AFC central and get thumped from the playoffs. This year, their road to the playoffs they beat; the Jags twice, Titans twice, and Texans twice. That's 6 wins against weak teams right inside the division. They also toppled the mighty Redskins, Giants, and Browns. Impressive resume.

Baltimore Ravens - Like the Colts, Baltimore struts into the playoffs based on schedule; winning just just 2 games against playoff bound teams. Those two teams? The Steelers and Panthers. Weak sauce.

Pittsburgh Steelers - I almost didn't put them on the list because they got hot down the stretch winning their last 4 games. Teams that do that can be dangerous in the playoffs. But, really, does anyone fear the Pittsburgh Steelers?

Arizona Cardinals - They backed in losing 4 of their final 6 games. Nice defense... But; 3rd string QB... Can't score. No chance.

Detroit Lions - Playoff teams beaten this season; 1. They had 2 wins gifted to them by the officials otherwise this is a 9-7 team against poor competition. These guys are going nowhere.

Normally I am stoked for the playoffs, and this year is no different in some regards... But I see the potential for some bad games due to poor quality of these contenders.

If I'm Dallas, Seattle, Green Bay, New England, Denver, or Cincinnati I'm seeing an easy road to the Superbowl.

Wish we could get a schedule like some of those teams had. We seem to get a tough schedule every year, and I'm not talking about our division foes.

If we did a better job against weak teams, maybe we could be in the playoff picture.

It's hard to win in this league, and the teams who have gotten there deserve it.

Except Carolina.

Uh. Detroit, then GB, then Seattle is no easy road to the Super Bowl.

Don't sleep on the Steelers you crazy fookin Canadian, that team can score in bunches and can run and pass nearly at will and have been tested by some strong defenses. I think my first choice out of the AFC is the Patriots and second is the Steelers. If the Steelers don't have the Patriots in their way I think they go, but if they play them in Foxboro I think it'll be too much for the Steelers to overcome.

I would have put the Bengals on this list before the Steelers, they beat CIN twice this year pretty convincingly. Actually after considering this neither of them really belong on the list.

The Panthers are home against the Cardinals and I think they could actually win that game. That is a tough one to call because the AZ defense can make Newton look like a terrible QB, they are that good but the team that wins that game may only score 9 points lol.

The rest of the games seem easy to pick.

Steelers over Ravens
Bengals over Colts
Cowboys over Lions

I may drop into the sportsbook and pony up some coin on the Steelers...........I gotta find a way to catch up to @DaveFan'51 aka Daddy Warbucks!!!

@Rynie I don't think the Cowboys will get past the Packers.

Cincinnati has an easy road to the Super Bowl? Heck, they belong on the list of teams due to be blown out.

Our tough schedules will force our young 'us to grow up even faster and have them much more battle-tested. I'm pretty sure everyone feels that a healthy Sam would have guided the Horns to the playoffs the past two seasons. Our defense is shaking up to be world class next season. Our special teams are as solid as any on the league. If we can fix the OL and get some extensive play from our franchise QB, we will be very formidable, indeed.

Steelers have a SICK offense..

Antonio Brown and Leveon Bell in some ways remind me of a Faulk and Bruce/Holt combo

I think its possible Tom Brady finally gets that 4th ring. The AFC road to superbowl runs through them.

Good Luck on this^ I'm watching out for you now!!:cautious::LOL: ( Your ONLY 700 or 800 Mil away!)

I think your sleepin on the Steelers. If I we're the Broncos or Ne I wouldn't take it as a easy road, that o can put points on the board. Especially with Big Ben playing how he has been.

Okay, okay... I might adopt the Steerlers for this offseason. The are hot heading into the playoffs.

I'd love to see Denver make it, but not against Seattle.

In the NFC... Probably rooting GB.
