So now that the Conference championship games are set it got me thinking, when is the last time that the top 4 scoring offenses made up the final four teams?

Rams defense is a true darkhorse right now. It's hard to say exactly who they are when they didn't have Talib for such a long and important stretch of games.

And the Rams' sudden running game surge with Anderson's addition benefits that defense too. It's like we have become a different team in a four week stretch, going from a passing team floundering from losing Kupp and a porous defense without Talib to an NFC East style offense with a defense that might be peaking at the right time.

Rams are a team to fear for that reason IMO. Hope the D can keep it up.

Watching the Rams control the clock was a thing of beauty. Rams defense got plenty of time to rest in the game. The final score didn’t really show how well the Rams played the Cowboys.

It's not just Aqib. Ndamukong Suh is an elderly player who probably signed here to help win a Super Bowl. Although he has certainly not been nearly as dominant during the season as years past, there may be only two games left. Surely he (and Brockers and Barren and . . . ) can turn it all on for two more games and leave it all on the field for championship glory!

Totally agree. You always hear how the hot teams win the postseason, and many think we cooled down, but we're a different team from the beginning of the season, and getting hot again in a new form. Not sure if the Saints will know how to gameplan for us....

Yeah I guess, at least for now, this puts away that tired old notion :) Offenses reign supreme in this incarnation of the NFL and it's likely to stay that way for a while.

I do think that whoevers D plays the best for the next 2 games will win it all, but it will be because the O got them in a position to do so.

I guess I didn't think the D as a whole was that great against Dallas...

The run defense was certainly great but as a team they avg 21 pts per game.. we gave them 22. (so avg)

They had a lot of wide open recievers -- Throws that Brees ain't going to miss.

So yeah I was happy with the run defense - but we are going to need a lot more pressure on the QB and a lot better coverage.

I think that the defense played the Cowboys really well. Sure, things didn’t go perfectly, but I think forcing Dak to try and beat you was the ideal strategy. It’s one thing to plan on shutting Zeke down, it’s another to actually do it.

Yea, he was the leading rusher in the league and the Rams run defense was near the bottom at stopping the run. Wade had the right defensive game plan and his players executed it to utter perfection. Now the game plan to beat the Aints will be to pressure Brees and take away Michael Thomas.

I definitely was happy with how the Defense handled themselves. I think this week will be much more challenging for the Rams' defense, but I am looking forward to how they respond. Wade will have his hands full game planning for the Saints, but I think he has a better idea of what to do this time around. Not to mention Talib will be able to cover Thomas. I think that will make a big difference over Peters' coverage from Week 9.
