I can tell you that that van is a danger to drive for awhile… and getting that gas smell out will take forever… like months or even years… I don’t think gas station robbers are gonna have the Jack needed to get it properly detailed…

I’m surprised the van didn’t burst into flames driving away

The van was probably stolen. What shocked me was how far that gas hose shot the fuel.
