If your capacity for empathy were higher, you could relate more deeply to someone with a differing opinion...so deeply that you could come around to their point of view. :D

I kid, I kid... yes, I agree that a capacity for empathy brings out the best in humans. And a lack of it brings out the worst.

It would depend I suppose.
If they choose not to they would be making a destructive choice, speaking generally.
What if they had no choice?
What if they are mentally ill?
Like mentioned above, what if they are a sociopath?
Come on, have a little empathy.

Sociopathy is much darker than a lack of balance.

Yeah. I also get your point and in a way it’s well taken. I’m just saying it probably didn’t belong as a response to what Fearsome was obviously saying. After re-reading it, my comment came off a bit too abrupt. Didn’t really mean it to. Ah... the little screen.
