I am certainly getting a jump on this and this thread is usually posted by others like @Dagonet

However I am curious about how everyone is planning their food for the big game.

Throughout the season I've been mixing and matching food with the teams we've played.

I made my first pot of Gumbo ever before last week's game.

We had surf and turf for the Cowboy game - Filet Mignon and Crab Legs.

I suggested maybe trying Clam Chowder for the Super "Bowl" and my wife suggested maybe going after an Atlanta based meal.

Then I had the idea of trying to do an authentic LA based street taco.

What to do!? What are you planning?

I'll be making beer braised beef tacos topped with pickled onions, avacado, cilantro and feta cheese.
....and also whatever my friends bring to share

Not sure I can wach the Rams in a superbowl at a party or a bar like I normally would...

Probably just going to buy some wings or maybe make nachos idk. Something simple. The important stuff is what I'll be drinking. Thinking of getting Havana Club (we get the Cuban stuff here not the Bacardi trash) and some beer. Gotta get enough to drink all day and night if we win :D

Chances are good I'll be up drinking when I'm supposed to be at work Monday lol

Pretty much everyone in my family are pretty private, so it'll be the same as last week: my Pop's coming over again, making it three generations again, which is special for us.

When we beat the Aints, I saw my dad smiling more than ever since my mom died last year. It was pure, unguarded elation.

He's not gonna have to worry about shit next Sunday. All he'll need to do is sit and watch the game with his favorite cat, Sweetie Pie, sleeping in his lap.

He loves my crock pot chili and corn bread, so that's what it's gonna be: Chili, corn bread, nachos, guac (avocados from his yard (y)) and Negra Modelo. And gotta have some Bud too--born in St. Louie, brewed in LA!

Oh, I get the opponent food theme, but no way are we doing any chowder or Sam Adams. Fug Dat!

LET'S GO RAMS!!!

Kind of cool to start this thread early for the potential to share some recipes to shop and prepare before game day.

If you have anything you think others should try, post it up!

Pizza from Blaze ..Ice Cream for dessert. Same as every Super Bowl for me.

LaBrons Pizza?

Is it any good?

Or was it Kobe?

Someone made a mountain of money on Blaze Pizza, thats all I remember

Absolutely LOVE Blaze Pizza. Safe to say some of the money whoever made from Blaze was mine, and they'll be getting more as long as they keep things going.

Great stuff.

Blaze Pizza is amazing...had it for the first time a couple months ago.

For me it will be the best frozen pizza I have...usually I make a Mexican feast but this year my attention will be elsewhere.

LaBron is in.

Really good. Super thin crust which is my thing. Going to try their gluten free crust for the Super Bowl. One pizza is just enough for one hungry person. They offer zucchini which is the most underrated pizza topping.

They used to have a really great system where if a pizza was ordered online they would put it in the oven when the customer arrived. Unfortunately they do not do that any more.

Last time I was there the person behind the counter said they forgot to put one topping on the pizza so they made another one with the all the toppings I ordered. They gave me the mistake pizza for free.

I'm tellin ya. Great stuff. Spicy marinara, pesto drizzle, and all those toppings? And Blue Sky soda takes me back to my days in New Mexico. Love it.

And a Build Your Own is two dinners for me. More than enough.

I'm going to a stag do this weekend from Friday till Monday. A bunch of the guys going are NFL fans but no other rams fans. One lions, one jags and one Panthers. They're all rams fans this week.

We will be eating and drinking whatever is left over from the weekend. But victory Scotch will fucking definitely be on the menu.

Shit dude. I take the lazy route. I just get the puerco already to go from a Mexican butcher. You can also get some at Cardenas or Superior if you're as lazy as me.

I honestly don't know the recipe, and every town in Mexico has a different recipe, but as you know,it's gotta gave the pineapple. It's usually on top of the pork on the spit, and the juices run down and sink in for that lovely heavenly final touch. Damn my mouth's watering.

You're the man. I salute you for doing it yourself!

P.S. I'll ask my buddy if his mom or abuelita have a recipe. Mo later.
