I mean, that’s what I take from all of the coverage. 95% of the shows explain how the Bengals should play the Rams to beat them, followed by slobbering over Joe Burrows. Why are the imedia all over the Bengals nuts like a Tijuana hooker? The only thing I can think of, is that they really think the Rams will blow out the Bengals, but want to drive up the viewership with fake drama? I literally clicked on five segments from different shows and that was the formula of they followed….

This is the last opportunity the Rams haters have to be right about the Rams making a mistake by going “all in”.

The media has moved the goal posts every playoff round for us and the reality is a lot are rooting against us for multiple reasons (Us trading picks, Stafford playoff history, OBJ washed, Mcvay against shanny, etc).

I notice the actual football heads (ex players, coaches, etc) have been pretty favorable towards us but the talking heads just need to generate views.

Media loves an underdog it's a well established fact. They assign these stupid titles to the Rams like Dream Team etc etc and they push the narrative against us. Like with all facets of life couldn't care less about the media and how they think(if they do) or feel (if they do that too) they're pushing what they think gets them paid the most.

Joe Burrow is a young stud. And the Bengals youth is more exciting than our "veteran" team. Easy sell for the media to the uninformed.

People on the underdog.

Burrow was actually a little better than Stafford, so people are going to think they have the better QB. Of course, Stafford has been better in the playoffs.

But also, it's the same thing as always: people don't want the Rams to win because of our style of team building. On Get Up, they had a hilarious interaction that highlights how confusing it is. Dan Graziano pointed out that we're near the top in home grown players while the other guy (forget who it is) spouted the "all in", no draft picks nonsense that everyone usually does.

But I firmly disagree. All we need to do is win, and then yep, we win. Not only that, but it may usher in a new era of team building and viewing draft picks differently.

They are selling the Bengals hard to get people to bet on them. Vegas wants the betting to be 50/50. It’s far from it early on. Vegas is probably paying those Shmucks to push the Bengals.

The Athletic writers picks:

30 picked the Rams
17 picked the Bengals.

Most of those picking the Bengals say the Rams win most of the matchups but they are sticking with Joe Burrow.

Oddly enough the usual take is that you bet on the veteran QB over the young one.

That's okay. The talking heads picked the whiners to win the NFCCG because they were going to be "physical" and play "bully ball".

I loved that we not only won, but seeing deebo get blown up going over the middle just made it sweeter.

Good. I hope the media pumps them up like a bouncy house and gets the Bengals all overconfident.

I don't really think this is true. More valuable going forward, absolutely. I'd much rather have Burrow on our team going forward then Stafford, but that is only age related.

Playoffs?:
Burrow - 75/109 68.8% 842yards 4TD/2INT
Stafford - 72/100 72% 905yards 6td/1int

I know who I'd roll with in this game. Its not by a ton, but, a lot of Staffords production has come in the 4th quarter in clutch time. I know Burrow has some of that as well.

Let's be frank about it...Burrow has been impressive. He has impressed me with his play and composure.

That said, the media will play this game up and hunt for stories and angles to bring a big audience.

The Bengals are the darlings because they were the underdogs
and for the way they took KC down.

The Rams are the better team though. As long as they don't turn it over I'm seeing it like Rams 30 Bengals 21.

The media will talk up a certain team and/or player. Its what they do. Kyler Murray and the Cardinals were the media darlings all year. People like Kurt Warner claimed Murray was better than Stafford. But Kurt admitted it was entertainment for TV. Which all of this stuff about the Bengals is. If you wanna know what the real experts think, see what the gambling oddsmakers say. They are the ones who stand to gain or lose. Sofi is considered a neutral site so the 3 points they seem to give home teams doesn't apply here. Last I saw it was 4.5 in favor of Rams. They truly think the Rams are better.
