What actor was author Ian Flemming's original choice to play James Bond?
(he thought Sean Connery would be terrible in the role)

I think he would have been way too intense for Bond though.

I'm also a huge fan of his defining role as well.

I don't know the answer so I'll take a guess.
The only actor too intense that I could think of would be Brando.
He stole every scene in every movie he was ever in.

That would have been interesting, but no.

Absolutely an amazing actor though.
