this guy put up a compilation of plays where goff missed sammy on a few occasions. saying goff is a hopeless qb.

take it for what it is.

my view is i wasn't happy with watkins failing to adjust to any ball that wasn't right on his chest. sure jared missed him a few times. all qbs do that during the year, especially when pressured. he's still growing himself. we haven't seen anything yet from this guy. he will be a top 5 qb for most of his career with mcvay as coach.

and fuck this guy. where are the gifs of sammy giving up on routes? failing to adjust to balls? dropping would be td passes?

He thinks Goff missed because the ball isn't on the shoulder Sammy is looking...not realizing it was probably Sammy who had the positioning/route mixed up.

Watkins never developed the chemistry with Goff that Woods and Kupp did. How much of that was him? I know Goff threw to Woods before camp. That kind of stuff helps develop the chemistry.

Sammy and Jared never really had the opportunity to establish that much needed rapport. Sammy arrived in August, 2017 while Jared had already more than established rapports with Cooper Kupp and Robert Brown all off-season and throughout TC. These complaints are silly.

The kid is a Sammy fanboy. It's not hard to tell because his analysis is way off the mark on a number of plays. I'll post a few of the gifs and explain why in a little while. He likely doesn't know any better, but he's flat out wrong on quite a few of those plays when he puts the blame on Goff. Some of the misses are on Goff, but that's not out of the ordinary for a deep ball. The best QBs in the NFL only complete around 35% to 40% of their passes that traveled 30+ yards in the air. Those are some of the toughest throws in football.

THIS....I would say that Goff thought Watkins was running to spot B, but because he didn't know the playbook so well, he ran to C,D, and finished at Z!
