Cooper Kupp's 2023 season will unfortunately begin in the same place his 2022 campaign concluded.
Kupp will miss at least the first four games of the season, as he's being placed on injured reserve due to a lingering hamstring injury, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Saturday, per a source.

Kupp, who head coach Sean McVay announced was out for Week 1 on Wednesday, is now guaranteed to miss 12 straight games for the Rams, dating back to Week 10 of last season in which he suffered an ankle injury against the Arizona Cardinals that led to a season-ending trip to IR. In addition to Sunday's opener against the Seattle Seahawks, Kupp will now be inactive versus the San Francisco 49ers, Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts.

For a Rams squad that was beset by injuries in a forgettable 2022, this is hardly a cheery start to their 2023 campaign.

Damn 4 more games without Kupp?

@Memento might get wish that she’s been crushing on in Tyler Johnson being on the 53.

Not how I wanted him to make the roster. But let's see if he's ready to break out. Unfortunately, it's next man up.

I'm glad they're being cautious...the season won't be decided in the 1st 4 weeks, smart move.

I hope Nacua and Tutu get major opportunities while Kupp is out...The best thing that can happen is getting those two dialed in and then ADDING Kupp back to the mix when healthy

Yep. It's the only call they could make. Agree with all your points here.

Love Kupp. He is my personal favorite Ram of all time. But he is definitely injury prone and now also getting older. Hope to see him back on the field soon!

Can Nacua run a choice route? We gonna find out!

Strange beginnings to our 2023 season. Only 24 hours before game 1 and we don't know the starting OL, the WR's, DL or DB's.

True. It's going to be an interesting season. Maybe not one we want, but one the Rams need. We need to see what the young players can do.

I think they will have to lean on the run game a lot more now. I know a Puka's been getting a lot of love here. But I'm a little skeptical. He's a day 3 rookie. I'm not sure we can count on him being a big part of the passing game. McVay doesn't have much history relying on rookies. Not sure Stafford has enough rapport with him to trust him. I know he trusts Higbee. And Jefferson to a degree. Its anyone's guess where the targets will go without Kupp.

Good opportunity for Stafford to mesh with the rest of his receivers. He was problematic last season relying on his tunnel vision with Kupp to move the chains

Availability is the one thing that might keep Kupp out of the Hall. What a damn bummer. Wish I could say I was surprised by this.
