They did interview Nix. I don't see him as a first round QB, but its possiblle that McVay likes him. The Vikings interviewed Nix five times. If that means Kevin O'Connell likes him, then its likely that McVay does toi.

I wouldn't be crazy about it because that could mean Stafford's likely retiring next winter.

Get Stafford another WR weapon and an RB2 to complement DWill. And he’ll have enough fun and give the Rams at least 2 more years. No need for QB drafted this year unless they need to replace Bennett at QB3 IMO.
