Seems like what was a strong rise in college football coaching halted by a bad stint at Nebraska and he was out of coaching for all of last year and most of 2022 after being fired early in the season.

Now that he's under McVay, I'll put the over/under on years before he becomes an NFL head coach at 2.5 years.

As a lifelong Nebraska fan he was the WORST FUCKING head they ever had. Best wishes, hope you do better here, in whatever capacity you contribute to.
Oh come on, most disappointing, yes, but not worst ever. He did a great job at UCF, however, it did not work out at Nebraska, where he was beloved. He was no worse than Bill Callahan or Mike Riley IMO.

Not sure how much is true, but the parts that might be...I hope he's overcome and nails his second chance experience.

Hopefully Frost views this as an opportunity to improve his own flaws as much as it is one for him to contribute to the team. McVay could could rub off on him, or McVay can end up getting very annoyed with him and it will be a very short stint.

I love having McVay as the Rams head coach, but even he admits to making some big mistakes (2018 Superbowl for one), or having areas to improve on. As good as he's been on offense and eventually broadening his repertoire to learn more about defenses when he hired Staley, the way that mastering Special Teams has alluded him is a real mystery. Its almost comical.

Hopefully Frost can solve the puzzle for McVay

What does that say in the trust of Blackburn as well ? The Rams needed to hire an assistant to help him at the least.Excellent hire.

McVay likes Chase Blackburn and Blackburn was his first choice to replace John Fassel (mistake), however, Blackburn chose to stay in Carolina because they gave him his first opportunity.

That being posted, the special teams unit needs to improve to at the very minimum the middle of the pack this year or IMHO, Blackburn will be out and the Rams will be hiring a new ST Coach once again, however, they could still keep Frost as the Assistant ST coach like they did Jeremy Springer last season.

McVay doing what Nick Saban did at Alabama. Rehabing coaches who rough endings at their last job. Saban did it with Kiffin for example by giving him a chance when other places werent.

The guy could not identify talent. He turned down Joe Burrow.......he thought Martinez was better. "When Frost got wind Burrow was interested in transferring to Nebraska, he had this to say: "You think he’s better than what we got?”

That was a while ago and maybe he was a bit spiky back then. Let’s hope as time has gone by he’s thawed out somewhat.
