It's Official, 15 hours ago the Rams announced they are NOT picking up the 5th year option on OT - Greg Robinson! Probably no big surprise to anyone. Makes sense to me!
If Robinson doesn't get his act together this year, he's probably gone! Thoughts!?!

No Surprise to me the 5th year is designed to benefit the player and if he doesn't perform to expectations it should not be picked up

It would've cost the Rams 11.9 million, which would put GRob as the 2nd highest paid RT in the league. But if he doesn't perform well this season he's gone.

Even if he plays well he's probably gone. Would any of you, as GM, pay that dude big money?

For the teams sake and his I hope he gets it together.
If not, just a terribly wasted pick.
A bit of a cautionary tale of drafting guys on raw physical ability only.
His so called Talents in College,as a run Blocker etc. just haven't Transferred well to the NFL! So Far! I'm hoping the coaching change work well for him! But IF not, he's History!!

Big money? No, but I don't think he'd get big money anywhere. I would try to resign him for a fair price, if he plays well his absence would only create a hole.

If he plays well the dude is going to be paid by someone. Not elite money, but someone will lock him up to some years with a sizeable bonus that is too rich for the Rams' blood.

I agree he aint worth "big money" but I still remain hopeful his career can be saved. Does anyone think it's possible a good O-Line coach can salvage Grobs career/potential? Because if he does turn it our, I'd like to keep him in horns.

Dagumit I was wanting Lewan. But I have to admit, I was glad we picked OL. Been a wasted bust so far and it don't appear that it will get better. But, I will see what this coaching staff can do.

Maybe he'll be another Robert Gallery - one can hope - although I don't think he's a bust, or even as bad as everyone makes him out to be.

I am still a believer in GRob... but it may be RT or guard for now, and possibly longer.

He knew that option wasn't going to be picked up. Now, its on him to earn a nice extension, hopefully here.
