Los Angeles Rams vs. Baltimore Ravens — 1:00 p.m., Fox

Game Day Thread

The GDT is a live thread tradition here at ROD.

While we all get fired up watching the game, please remember our core principles;we always show respect for our team and each other.

Despite the emotional highs and lows watching a game, we will moderate this thread with that in mind, however please refrain from name calling. This applies to players, the Rams organization, and others.

This is the core rule of the GDT. Moderators are tasked to issue thread bans, at a minimum, to maintain this standard.

This is our team. Win or lose. Good days and bad. We are here for FUN, not to be dragged down.

A more loosely moderated atmosphere can be found in the chat room.

Go Rams!

Man, it is a straight up monsoon here today. This is going to be a sloppy, slobberknocker of a game. Might work in the Rams favor.... Who knows

The Ravens lost three games. In at least two of those losses they faced teams that use 11 personnel in some of their running plays (Colts, Browns). The Rams run out of 11 personnel better than anyone. Hopefully the Ravens still have trouble defending against 11 personnel.

Hopefully the defense can make some stops and get us a lead. Stafford needs quick passes with a lot of running plays. That will be tough to do from behind.

Yep. It's pouring here already and can't stop/won't stop until this game is in the books, haha. Might be a fun game to watch. Just hoping for no lightning. There have been some thunder claps already where I live (Frederick on your radar^^)
That appears a risk.

The stronger cells look to be on the leading edge, which hopefully is further east for game time.

Hang on to that ball Kyren!

If ever there was a time for a statement game, this is it. The Browns game was just a tuneup for this one.

Brian Young needs to get off the rookie 'wall' if he can, and 'Man up!' This is the time to benefit from all the attention AD99 always draws and the new attention fellow rookie, Kobie Turner, will undoubtedly command. Lamar needs to be as fully contained as possible.

The Horns need a good mix of run & pass to tone down the aggression on the Ravens' D. Scoring early and often will help out greatly there. Today would be a good day for Cooper to return to at least semi-dominance, enough to allow Puka and the other young receivers give the Ravens' secondary fits. Keep Matthew as clean as possible, and he is more than capable of dissecting any D. Sean needs to be at his offensive scheming best. Let's turn the entire NFL upside down about the premature power rising in the NFC West.

Lamar had a 72.6 completion % over the first 9 games.

His completion % over the last three games is 58.1

100 percent chance of rain. Gonna be a soggy 3 hours for those guys. Wind shouldn't be too bad. But the footing will be. Kinda hard to know who it hurts more, offense or defense. Guys making cuts can slip but so can would be tacklers. One thing about those conditions, it does tend to even things out more if one team is clearly better than the other. And the Ravens are supposed to be clearly better.

Fuck the ravens!
I want to see Kobie Turner do a lot of conducting today. I would like to see our OL and DL both have good days and destroy the ravens in the trenches. Big ask, but I believe they are up to the task.

Maybe we need quagmire conditions. Rams, 0 yards offense, Ravens, 0 yards offense. Final score 0-0. Better than a loss! Thinking about a similar game in Pittsburgh a few years ago on MNF. I think it was 3-0. Punted ball came down end first and embedded itself in the turf like a garden stake pounded in ...
