My take is to wait and see. This time last year Cam Ward was at best a 4th round pick and Sanders was the 1st pick. Now there's thought he could be the 5th QB taken.

Also I'll go on record saying Arch doesn't come out next year. He'll listen to his uncles and get more college starts under his belt and come out in 2027.

Another thought I doubt anybody has toyed with. Do these two 1sts have to be for a rookie QB? Didn't we trade 2 to the Lions for Stafford? Just another thing to contemplate for the next year.

We could probably use one of our firsts to trade with Cleveland for whoever loses the QB battle between Gabriel and Sanders.

We have a more recent thread with more discussion going on here Memphis think you're in it.

I believe this is the route they would go today if Stafford retired. Their roster is loaded and good enough to go on a title run.

Had Stafford retired after the ‘22 season, amidst a salary dump, I think the Rams would have felt differently.

Hopefully this class will have one or two QBs who fall out of the top group, but who have the raw skills McVay prefers. Last year it seemed like Dart was that player, but this time around they have extra draft capital to play with.

Potential complication is LT. Which may limit how high they can jump, or could even trump QB as the draft priority.

Right now it looks like
- LaNorris Sellers
- Garrett Nussmeier
- Cade Klubnik

Are the 3 leading candidates for next draft right now. Arch based on history of his grand father and two uncles won't come out for the 2026 draft. At the earliest it'll be 2027 draft and might be the 2028 draft.

If no Manning or if he is taken in the top tier I like Sellers and believe he is going to have a great year. Clemson should be very good this year and Klubnik has ability as to Nussmeier, I need to see more from him because he is not consistent and does not have a strong build either IMHO.

As a Clemson fan I have questions about Klubnik's arm strength in the NFL. Also not a huge Nussmeier fan but that can change with the upcoming season.

Huge fan of Taylen Green. He's an older prospect (will be twenty-four after the 2026 Draft), but he reminds me of Cam Newton on the field, and he's apparently a coachable kid.

Plus, we wouldn't have to use one of our firsts on him at the moment.

Nussmueier to me stands out as the biggest prospect for us tbh. Curious as hell to see this next year with all of them.

He has a whole season and off season to prep for the NFL. At the very least I’d expect him to be on par with Jayden Daniel’s by his first snap in the NFL. He is 2 inches shorter so I’m sure he’ll thicken up at some point. Also being the son of the Saints offensive coordinator has to help at some point I’d think. 4k+ yards and 29-12 td/int ratio last year, he’s got me intrigued.

Im going to watch Sellers like a hawk. My favorite QB’s are those that can run and throw and love watching them. Sadly I never see McSnead ever drafting one, probably for the better! lol
