I'm not Catholic , but even I know what a historic event this is

I haven't had a chance to see what the world wide social reaction has been , but I did see a few interviews with people from Ireland , they genuinely seemed pretty excited

Hopefully Pope Leo is as humble and kind as Pope Francis was, while making his own positive impact on others.

I'm far from Catholic (agnostic), but I could respect Pope Francis more than most. Let's hope Pope Leo can do the same.

I think it’s ok as long as it doesn’t devolve into a discussion of religion. An announcement doesn’t ring my bell. It’s more of a news flash.

Now that it’s out there, I’ll probably lock this thread because it’s already starting on the leanings of the last pope.
