2 assumptions here.
1. The Rams get stuck at #2.
2. Clowney goes #1 overall.

So then, who do you think they pick?

I picked Matthews because that's who I'm hoping for but I really haven't got a clue. I doubt that it will be Mack though.

As much as the sizzle of Watkins excites me, and part of me wants him as our pick...

Mathews

He's a slam dunk to be a solid player, if not pro bowler for many many years.

Besides; we need olinemen, particularly swing depth at OT.

Matthews.
Though if it was a impulse buy like tic tacs in the checkout line at Piggly Wiggly I might choose Robinson.

Watkins or Robinson.

If we pick Matthews at #2, I'm going to smash my head into a wall.

I wouldn't do that, we will still have a really good player that will upgrade a key position on our team. I would be a bit perplexed if they take Mathews with Robinson still on the board. However it would certainly give us a much clearer understanding on how the brain trust evaluates players and risk. I look at it this way, Robinson pick is a swing for the fence, but you can strike out easier. Mathews is that RBI double in the gap, with less chance of ending the inning and losing the game.

It does sound kinda like a "your father's Oldsmobile" pick doesn't it?

Watkins

Trade back at 13 and draft Martin.
The problem with that move is being desperate to take an OL in the first round. I don't think Martin fits the "find 2 HOF players" theme that Snead and Demoff have been preaching.

Demoff said what to expect from #13 is if a great player drops they are taking him. They want 2 potentially great players, not one great player and then fill the OL need with the second pick.

We'd have a good player, but I see a few guys with more talent and more upside than Matthews. Just my opinion.

The only G who really fits the bill as a "great" OG is Robinson right now. I want some a playmaker or two in the first round.

Tough one and I hope this doesn't happen but if it did, I'd say the Rams take Watkins only because he is probably the BPA at that point. Crossing fingers hoping this decision doesn't have to be made because I really want Mathews in horns.

this franchise has wasted so many picks on the Oline that I am hesitant to choose to go that route

going with Watkins
