Just read an article on "Fansided" where they ranked all the QBs going into the post-season. They have Stafford at #12 only ahead of Baker Mayfield and Mason Rudolph. Did I mention that Fansided rarely ever talks about the Rams in a good light. With that said how would folks here rate the QBs 1-14? Ill start with mine:
14 - Mason Rudolph
13 - Baker Mayfield
12 - Joe Flacco
11 - Tua Tagovailoa (one of the worst second half QBs in the entire league)
10 - Jalen Hurts
9 - Jordan Love
8 - Jared Goff
7- CJ Stroud
6 - Brock Purdy
5 - Matt Stafford
4 - Dak Prescott
3 - Patrick Mahommes
2 - Josh Allen
1 - Lamar Jackson

I really have a problem with Josh Allen's position. The only reason they are in the playoffs is because of the D. He had over 20 turn overs and many were shockingly bad. Can't argue against the rest. Other wise I would just be nit picking.

I read the title of this thread and said to myself should I even look or just skip it altogether like I do other threads of zero relevance.

The answer, I should have skipped it.

1. Stafford
2-14 Who cares....

I just finished watching highlights from the saints game. Stafford was making one amazing throw after another if THAT guy steps onto the field Sunday, the lions are in trouble. That’s the game that had me thinking, “maybe, just MAYBE!”

Only mahomes, flacco, and Stafford have rings. There is a lotta unproven guys on that list. At least purdy won both his games last year before being hurt and hurts played a helluva game in the SB.

Even if you’re going on this season alone (which is ridiculous when it comes to postseason), Stafford should be as high as 3rd behind mahomes (proven) and jackson (playing lights out this year).

I can’t believe the bills won that last game vs the dolphins. Two picks in the end zone (although one just replaced a long punt) and a lost fumble by allen. He didn’t look like he’s cleaned it up that much to me. One TD was straight up lucky on a tipped ball!

He’s still scary, though, because when he’s on, he’s on. I just don’t trust him. Cleaning it up in time to make a playoff run is what Stafford did in ‘21. I haven’t seen that in allen.

And good morning to you too. Sorry if the topic does not suit you. I thought this was a place to chat and sometimes stir up some shit but I didn't realize that I have may offended your intellect. Have a great day.

I remember very well the narrative a couple years ago that Pad Statford wasn't someone to be trusted in the playoffs. Then he orchestrates dramatic comebacks in consecutive games v the Bucs, 9'ers, and Bengals. And we aren't talking lucky breaks. They were stone cold, do or die, clutch as f "soul stealing" assasination drives.

Yeah, he might be slightly undervalued here. And to think, some believe he's playing his best ball. I suspect my brethren and sisters here all know what underestimating Matthew Stafford generally means for his opponents.

Lamar Jackson one of the worst Playoff QBs ever

Keep him contained and he usually sucks.

Containing him is the hard part though.
Playoff stats are a small sample size and he hasn't played a playoff game since his third year in the league. Hasn't he progressed since then? He's throwing a career high of 67%+ this year.

Stafford had no wins until he played with us.

13 - CJ Stroud - Need to see how he consistently plays against playoff teams and not the AFC and NFC south
12 - Baker Mayfield- He’s banged up
11 - Jordan Love - He needs to be more consistent to be ranked higher.
10 - Josh Allen - He’s had many turnovers that I trust 1-9 more than him.
9 - Tua
8 - Shane Falco
7 - Jared Goff
6 - Jalen Hurts - He needs to improve his leadership.
5 - Patrick Mahomes - He’s imitated Stafford thus far in his career and I can’t stand his whining.
3T - Brock Purdy - I want to see Joe he performs in the playoffs against good competition.
3T - Stafford - Hopefully he flushes the Giants game down the toilet
2 - Dak
1 - Lamar - This year’s MVP

Choke Prescott being ranked ahead of Money Matt Stafford is a joke if I ever heard one.
This other NFL forum I frequent. They will not stfu about HOW underrated Dak is and posts comparison stats with TB12 lol.

The Rams are the darkhorse for the NFC. While Stafford plays well under the radar, not. Not many outside of US pay attention to the Rams and give us zero chance.
