The #Rams private workout for the Texas A&M players (Manziel, Evans, Matthews) is expected to take place on Friday.

Rams to work out Manziel,Mathews and Evans.
Per Chris Mortensen

Do u guys think this is a smoke screen on Manziel?

along with Notre Dame, Ohio State and Tennessee... probably just to get last impressions before the draft
hopefully they are just taking a deeper look at Matthews and maybe Evans and bait someone into trading up to take Manziel

Sorry, didn't see this. I made a thread with a few tweets. Rams seem to be hitting up a bunch of spots.

It seems rather late to be doing this. I would have thought they would have worked them out by now.

If we draft Manziel the TV will be broke. That would be a horrible pick.

Rams taking a look at all the Texas A&M prospects

The visits to team facilities for NFL Draft prospects ended Sunday, but teams can still go to campuses to work out players.

So the Rams are going for the bulk discount.

According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, the Rams are going to Texas A&M to work out quarterback Johnny Manziel, tackle Jake Matthews and wide receiver Mike Evans.

It’s an interesting play for the team picking at No. 2 and No. 13, for both their own needs and trade-trolling.

While they’ve suggested a commitment to Sam Bradford, that might be short-sighted because of his ACL surgery and his contract status. Their quest for receiving help in recent years has been well-documented, so Evans could fill a role for them (though they have a lot of young receivers to develop).

But of the lot of the Aggies, Matthews might make the most sense for the Rams if they’re thinking of their own picks.

With Jake Long coming off an ACL tear of his own, the Rams could use another quality tackle, even after investing in Rodger Saffold to play guard.

Les Snead and Jeff Fisher lead Rams group at Bama tomorrow to work out AJ McCarron, then to College Station for Manziel, Matthews & Evans.

Ahh this draft is gonna be crazy lol so much excitement and anger will fill this forum.

Never hurts to make some smoke to help with trade downs.
If Sneed or any other GM posed for a picture in front of their draft board no one would take that serious either.
If he really wanted to smoke screen he would put Bradford on the market. That would sell the Manziel angle. Other than that there just doing due diligence,
