I watched the Bears game Sunday...In a lot or respects it looked just like our previous 3 games...spot a team 14 and lose by 10....Cruds had short fields all day....
Keys....CONTAIN....make the midget throw from the pocket, if he breaks contain don't fall for his pump/throw fake as he's running....I'd almost take 15 early and send him flying into the bench...TACKLE...hit low and rally and wrap Connor....Ertz....he seems to be the quick go to option 8-10 yds and find a hole....need the LB's to stay disciplined...Offensively, use the same plan that was used against Jax...mix play action and shorter routes early in anticipation of more later...

Am optimistic going into it... probably more than I have a right to be. There were a lot of great things both sides of the ball did yesterday that they can build into winning football the rest of the season. Unfortunately we still have our special teams to do something incredibly stupid a couple times a game but hopefully we can overcome it.

Some things to remember is that last time we played the Cardinals I think Floyd was still nursing that sprained ankle if I remember correctly and that was literally the game after we lost Justin Hollins with the chest injury. So our contain game, which is of utmost importance against Murray, was basically nill. We enter this next game with a healthy Floyd and Von Miller on edges with possibly Hollins back in the fold as well. Hopefully we won't look as helpless this time keeping Murray in the pocket at least.

Throw in Ernest Jones who will hopefully build off his big game and our defense SHOULD perform better than it did previously. Just got to hope we bring the offense from this week and not the one from November.

Next week's celebration of Cardinal hopes and dreams....

I think they'll be in this one. Might win it and either way I feel good about it. To be in this big a game this late in the season is not something to take for granted, it's better to just appreciate it and cross one's fingers.

I'll add this too... IF the Rams get through this stretch and get into the playoffs they're gonna be one of those teams who's been in playoff mode a month before they started. Could work out well for us if they survive it.

To me Turnovers are the key.

We were semi-rolling in that first game when Stafford threw that pick and we could never gain the momentum back and turn them over. We also lost a fumble, flip those around its a different game.

We win the TO battle I think we win this one.

Yeah good points there. Honestly being 8-4 at this point given the injuries we've seen is kind of impressive. Losing our top back was a massive hit. Same with losing Woody that one was terrible too. Maybe OBJ makes up for it and Michel can settle our ground game but for myself I am thankful we are rooting for a team with an 8-4 record at this point.

If the Cards beat us again they're gonna deserve that division and top seed. They've been the best team to date in the NFC but maybe the Rams can change that equation in this one.

Cardinals are playing well but they're not perfect. We can beat them.

The main issue is our injuries. We have as many if not more IR players, but our injuries are to key players. Akers before he even started, then every single back besides Hendo. Weird that folks here are calling for our starter to be someone who wasn't even on our team nor going to get reps on another team. THAT is how shallow we are there.

And don't get me started on WR. Makes me sad to have to be done in by WR injuries every time we're primed for the playoffs. At least we got OBJ right as it went south. Sure wish we kept DJax too.

We keep away from more of these KEY injuries, no reason why we can't take this whole thing down.

The 9ers turned the ball over 3 times and only ran it 11 times against the Cards.
Why are they so fucking bad against the Cards & Seahawks & good against the Rams?!??

Eliminate turnovers and get the run game going and hit Murray.

But Troy Aikman recently said, "Super teams never win the Super Bowl."

Fuck Troy Aikman.
