I love putting together mocks and running through the whole scenarios, but this year am behind a bit. But finally w/ the draft looming less than 2 weeks away (it's about.....%$&*^<>! time.....) I might as well as get w/ the program and give everyone a snicker........

Our first pick @ 10 gets traded to KC wanting to move up to grab Parker. Maclin has helped them but no WR TDs makes them covet another guy on the outside that can stretch the field for their running game. So they package their 2nd pick (10th worth 1300 their 18th = 900 and their 2nd is worth 410) and we let them jump up. and w/ their 18th pick we pick La'el Collins OT out of LSU. He can be a swing tackle if we resign Barksdale or simply replace his fellow LSU alumni.

Our 2nd pick (41st) we go w/ South Carolina's A. J. Cann OG. And he fills our need for a road grader in the middle and our staff and FO love SEC guys.....

W/ our extra 2nd round pick we go ahead and grab everyone's favorite 2nd tier QB of Garrett Grayson. He gets to sit for a year and then we decide if we want to hand off the keys to the truck (what you think Fisher's teams can be analogized w/ a Mercedes or Caddy....hell no.....it's a beat up pickup that will get us and all of our stuff... there just in time to kick open the doors to the party.....) to him or invest in Foles.

W/ our 3rd round pick we grab Reese Dismukes OC Auburn and now we have some depth where we had weakness. And we know about that Auburn/ SEC connection.

Our fourth round pick grabs up Trey Flowers DE Arkansas. He would get a year to bulk up and then when we have to make decisions on Hayes and Sims.

The round pick would be Blake Bell TE Oklahoma. Big kid that is just learning the position and he showed better hands than expected @ the combine. The cap hit next year on Cook is much smaller than this year. And we could have his replacement.

And w/ our last pick Craig Mager CB Texas State. Decent Speed. Likes to hit. Decent size for a late round CB. Sounds like a guy that could fill out a special teams roster. I mean what can you expect out of a 7th rounder........National press releases and multiple interviews....Oh yeah......been there done that.

Okay fire away w/ the thoughts good or bad.

Nice effort, but this would be another disappointing draft for me. Especially after round one.

IMO, Collins best NFL position is guard ala Saffold. And with those two, the team doesn't really need Cann. And despite Dismukes rating in some circles, now that his measurables have come in, I can't help but to question if the probable center only prospect won't still be available well into day three or even post draft.

Well done. It's certainly an infusion of young talent for the oline, but I'll be surprised if we loaded up on 3 guys early like that. I wouldn't be against it, just I suspect the team has plans to land a couple FA's still.

Don't think that we can use Dismukes. He's very limited in what he can do in a PBS. He's not going to be strong enough to handle most of the guys whom he'll face. Great fit in a ZBS, but not so much with our system. T-Rex arms and hands don't help him either.

Love the Cann pick. Don't think that Collins will fall to #18, but you never know with Scherff and Flowers being as highly-coveted as they are. I think he has more potential at right tackle than either one of them, so I love your first two picks.

As for the other second round pick...well, it's not Petty or Hundley, so I'm pretty happy with it.

Why do we need a fourth tight end over a wide receiver? Not a fan of Bell anyway, but we seriously do not need a tight end right now. It's probably the least serious of our needs.

In addition, Mager is rising very quickly. Getting him in the seventh round is a huge stretch at this point.

Flowers is a high-effort guy that I don't like as much as some other prospects because he really, really isn't explosive or quick enough to have that much of an impact in the NFL. I love his effort and strength, but he's not going to get a ton of sacks at the next level.

I would be happy with this. I'd prefer another center over Dismukes, but that's my only complaint and I'm still fine with taking him.

I don't know. I've been given a few days to think and I think my thoughts about a trade w/ KC wouldn't play out. They have as many holes on the O-line as we do. And one thing this draft has is off line depth. they would love a one of the top 3 WR but that's the other deep position in this draft. So it looks like I'll need to re figure things. But I guarentee, we are looking to trade down. no matter what the media types are screaming about.

But thanks for the kind words and thoughts. They were appreciated.

WTH? No pictures of the players drafted?
Let me be the first to say none of those players will be at that position you drafted ( like everyone always says)!!

Lol

No but for real if this was our draft I'd be one happy camper.
