The Bengles have fire OC Ken Zampeze and promoted QB Coach Lazor to OC!! If they can't turn it around is Lewis's Job Safe!?!

feel bad for Lewis tbh. Regardless how you may feel about how good of a coach he is, it sucks to have a really talented team to lose in playoffs cuz of late injuries to key players. And doesnt help to lose your really good OCs and DC to head coaching jobs. He gets a lot of hate but to me, being a consistent playoff team is pretty impressive

Lewis, by all reports, was also shocked when he lost His Best OT Whitworth!!:D

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Zampese#St._Louis_Rams

Ken Zampese joined the St. Louis Rams in 2000 as an offensive assistant under head coach Mike Martz. He was promoted the following season to WRs coach, and again the next season to WRs coach/passing game coordinator.

During his stint in St. Louis, Zampese assisted Martz with the passing game of what became known as “The Greatest Show on Turf” – a nickname for the Rams’ high-powered, record-setting offense. It was here that he gained additional exposure to the “3-Digit” passing system, pioneered by his father and expanded to new heights under Martz.

Might be time for Lewis to get some new surroundings.

I love it when a team sticks with a coach... but he's been there since 2003.

His record is 118-105 (.529) with 7 playoff appearances and no wins in the playoffs.

Sounds very Fisher-ish to me.

Great guy, though.

Unless Cincy gets into the playoffs and WIN a playoff game, Lewis will be done at the end of the season.

Bill Lazor takes over as Bengals offensive coordinator

Two games without a touchdown were enough to convince the Bengals that it was time to part ways with offensive coordinator Ken Zampese.

Zampese was fired on Friday, marking the first time in Marvin Lewis’ 15 seasons as head coach that the team has dispatched a coordinator in the middle of the season. The Bengals announced that Bill Lazor will take over the job and call plays for an offense that’s looked totally lost over the first 120 minutes of the season.

Lazor joined the Bengals as quarterbacks coach last season and has previous coordinator experience with the Dolphins. He ran the offense in Miami from January 2014 until he was fired in November 2015. He’s also been a quarterbacks coach with the Redskins, Seahawks and Eagles and ran the offense at the University of Virginia from 2010-12.

Among the areas Lazor will be trying to improve before the Bengals play their next game will be the play of quarterback Andy Dalton and the play of the offensive line as more of the same in those two areas will make it hard for the Bengals to find much success regardless of who is calling the plays.

This is what I'm thinking too! And IF they keep losing, it could be sooner then that!(y);)
