Winston Rose CBfrom New Mexico State visited the Rams. He ran a 4.38 40 and met Fisher


Also Kache Palacio Washington State LB,FB,ST visited the Rams, many other teams interested.

I saw this and the kids numbers and went out to read up on him and not many profiles of the kid anywhere. NFL.com doesn't list him nor does walter football. NFLscouts.com has him as the 80th ranked CB. Hard to get any info on him.
 
I live in Las Cruces home of the NMSU Aggies where Winston Rose plays and I can tell you with the huge disappointment that the Aggies are year in and year out Winston Rose is one of the very bright spots over the last decade or so. Dude isnt obviously a first round talent but I could see his skills fitting a Jeff Fisher/ Greg Williams defense. He reminds me alot of Tru coming out of Montana tbh. Raw skills, great coverage 1v1, decent skills within the zone and bump and run. His hips are pretty loose and has pretty damn good ball skills. Honestly I say if we draft him in the 6th give him a year to get his feet wet in the NFL and used to the competition and I see him being a damn good slot guy at the very least. Maybe even an outside guy if he really lets the Williams teaching sink in.

Generally against big school teams they have played over the years he has done fairly well against their number 1's or 2's that have been drafted into the NFL which means he does respond to a higher level of competition.

My biggest gripes about him his he gets caught with his eyes in the backfield way to much kinda like Jenkins and gives up a big play or two in return to the big ones he makes. Also it seems to me when he plays inside out he wasn't used to that coverage as much and he had a tough time adjusting to his coverage responsibility or coverage on the WR.

Both I can see being corrected with repetition and correct tutelage by Greg Williams and Fisher.

Thanks for the evaluation. I think that evals by people that watch a team regularly are always the best and most accurate. After that, I hope Winston ends up a Ram.

Your welcome. I was rather pleasantly shocked to see Rose on here on a visit! Lol Yeah I would mind Winston either.

In recent years most of the Rams pre draft visitors were first and second day picks.....mostly first day. This year they are looking at a lot of later round and UDFA types with their visits. I think it is a good strategy.

Looking ahead to day three of the 2016 NFL draft before day one even kicks off can be tough, but the Los Angeles Rams will almost certainly be doing it after they select either Jared Goff or Carson Wentz No. 1 overall. The Rams don’t have another selection until the fourth round of the draft due to the huge trade up, which means that barring some type of a deal to move back up in the draft, Los Angeles will be focused on who may be available on day three.

Apparently, they’ve already begun expressing interest in the direction of certain prospects, including a former New Mexico State cornerback.

As we all know, anything can happen at any point during the draft, but it’s worth noting that Rose could be a great day three selection by the Rams. Best of all, this report comes just a few weeks after news that Jeff Fisher met with Rose after his workout for the Rams. Adding some cornerback depth will be a definite need for Los Angeles, as will finding a possible wide receiver or two. Rose is a name for Rams fans to keep their eye out for.

Although I do believe the Rams could use a "Moses" not sure who Winston Moses is?
