Has the Rams picking 12th and going:
1 - Vic Beasley, OLB, Clemson
2 - Brett Hundley, QB, UCLA
3 - AJ Cann, G, South Carolina

Thoughts? I wouldn't complain, although I'm itching for a center to be in there. I'd probably go:
1 - Ereck Flowers, OT, Miami
2 - Hundley is fine as a developmental QB. Might prefer Green-Beckham, but I'll not argue with Hundley
3 - Reese Dismukes, C, Auburn

AJ Cann is not a 3rd rounder. He is a first round talent, I know it a deep Oline draft and he could slip to the early second but If Im a betting man he goes in the 20's of the first round.

I like Flowers to the Rams a lot. I would prefer Schreff or Clemmings but Flowers would be a nice grab for the Rams. I would be fine with Hundley, there are a few options I would prefer, but like you I would not be upset with that. At center I like Andy Gallik who should be available in the 3rd. Dismukes could go in the 2nd and the gap between him and Gallik is not large, so there might be more value to wait. I also like what I have seen from BJ Finney of Kansas St and Jake Smith of Louisville. They are looking like 4-6th rounders who could play as rookies.

Flowers seems like a massive reach at our pick rather than BPA. Unless he's going to be a pro-bowl RT for us, I really don't want him and I'm not seeing him mocked in the top 25 anywhere but dingleberry McShay.

I suppose I could handle Hundley in the 2nd. I'm kinda off of him in the 1st too at this point unless we trade way down.

As for Beasley.....I just don't see the need for another pass rushing specialist. Granted, Dunbar is getting older and not as productive but.....I think we can get better value later.

As I said before, Walter/Charlie/Whoever they really are, are only good for figuring ballpark where a player may fall.

Not sure I would call Flowers a reach. Depending on what you are looking for there is a lot of value with him. I personally prefer a Collins or Schreff type because of versatility and love the make up of a guy like Clemmings, but Flowers is a good athlete with great length, strength and technique. He is also strong in the run game. I think he is getting somewhat overlooked. It may serve him well to return to school, if he comes out next year he could be a top 5 pick.

I would not be upset with either draft but I didn't know if Beasley could play the 4-3 Defense and I seriously doubt AJ Cann will still be available in the 3rd round.

Hundley starting to scare me with his inability to read defenses. I'm all for an athletic quarterback than can move the pocket on occasion, but the ability to read the defense and go to your 2nd or 3rd option in a nanosecond is a priority along with accuracy at the next level, IMHO.

My opinion on O-Lineman in the half to top 10 of the draft is that unless they are unquestionably the top 2 maybe 3 at their position overall, it's a reach and I don't want em there. Which is why I like Clemmings there from everything I've been hearing.

I'd rather trade down in the first for Collins/Cann/etc, than reach.

Would rather take BPA, which could be Kevin White/Davante Parker/Dante Fowler Jr (maybe)/Gordon/Shaq Thompson/Strong/Gurley (despite injury) before Flowers.

That's fair and based on your philosophy it would be a reach. This would be a good year to trade back and I think Cann in the 20's has real good value.

Why do we need a 3-4 OLB? Williams could no doubt make it work and make him an easy fit for the team, but I just don't see a point in getting Beasley.

Not a fan of Hundley outside of a Malzahn type offense and even then I'm a bit skeptical.

I'd be fine with the Beasley selection. Feed the Beast. IMO, he'd automatically be the best pass rushing option at RE when Quin takes a blow and could be a stud blitz guy.

Ereck Flowers is not a first rounder. Why Vic Beasley? Do they see him being able to play a Von Miller role? Cause I'm definitely not sold on that.
