That's outstanding.............is she going to pursue a career in music?

Good question. One of her first criteria in seeking a college is do they have a good band. She does own and play a ukelele, trumpet, guitar, violin, sax, keyboard, and some other little instruments I don't even know what you call them. She also takes 5 different disciplines of dance. But the most excited I've seen her is when she got a flyer from Embry Riddle. She's into space and engineering.

Wow, you raised one well rounded person there and have to be awfully proud of her. Buy yourself a beer for that, you deserve it!!!

Bo...

I graduated from Embry Riddle! Us old timers just call it Riddle. LOL

Great school... and my God has it grown since I was there in the late 80's.

That’s funny. My youngest plays the guitar and flute mainly and is majoring in Astro Physics. We always said he is a genius with his head in the clouds.

Is that the Commodores stadium?

I used to be in drumline in high school. It's such a huge time commitment and sacrifice of personal pleasures, so anyone that rides it through should get major props.

Not only that but in my days there was a term - “band nerd” for those in the marching band. Funny that the drummers got a pass while I couldn’t imagine being able to march in formation while playing a wind instrument. And a freaking tuba? Forgetaboutit

Keep in mind this is from someone with pretty much ZERO musical talent.

No, it's s local high school stadium, not hers. Her band has a few clips on YouTube. Search Georgia Bridgemen and you'll run across s few.

She's the trumpet solo in the circle on the right about half way through.

They play in the Thanksgiving Day parade in Philadelphia for any ROD members that may live in the area.

Yeah, it's huge. You should see them roll into town in about 14 school buses and a Semi.

A friend's daughter played trumpet in her HS band, was invited to March with the Crossmen junior and senior year. Went on the major in music history and is now teaching music somewhere in California

Love it! Congrats.

Oh and the music from UP was great! One of my favorite movies!
