The last two of three seasons. I've never seen so many injuries. It's either incredibly bad luck or someone isn't doing their job correctly

I wonder how often the Rams run padded and hitting practices compared to other teams. I assume they run fewer than most other teams but no idea.

I mean, that is a fair assumption, but we have had a top S&C staff for years. As I recall, those coaches score as high as any other part of the org in those yearly surveys. Sometimes shit luck is.... Shit luck. I dunno.
I don't disagree. I also feel like they've gotten more soft as the years went on. Not to mention, they've stuck and brought in some pretty injury prone players via FA and Draft. That's probably part of it.

Maybe McVay should rest players for practice and only play them in the games (preseason games included). Seems like many of the injuries happen during practice!

Holy fuck, so did we use one of our 8 return IRs yet for half a practice or wonder if that paperwork had been filed yet? That is unbelievable bad luck if we just wasted one of our 8 on this shit.

This may help explain the Jonah Williams signing announced late-yesterday, pending a physical.

Great, now he'll probably end up getting a Head Coach gig elsewhere

I think opening the window to come off IR is not the same as officially coming off IR. I think the reason is for instances like this if a guy re-injures himself etc..

The following is from Sarah Barshop who covers the NFL for ESPN NFL Nation.
I don't know if she is reliable or any good but she is kind of cute.

"Murchison doesn’t count as one of the Rams’ eight IR/return slots because he was put on IR before the start of the season. If he does come back, he will count as a spot and will be the only Rams player allowed to come back from IR twice this season"

WTF..... I mean he probably wasn't going to make much of a difference or play much, but WTF is up with our goddamn injuries...

I don't think starting the assessment clock wastes one of the IR golden tix, but I could be wrong. Not even sure this wasn't just going through the motions with Murch. No way was he worthy among all the other key guys already on IR to get one, that's for sure. Maybe you have to try by NFLPA rules to bring him back since there's $$ involved for the player. Wasn't his foot already effed up ? Listed as forearm/foot, irrc while on IR to start with.
