Many, including some on this board buried us at 1-4.

Dont ever under estimate these guys. McVay, Stafford, Kupp, Hav, all these guys are Super Bowl Winners and KNOW the season is a long grind.

Now we HAVE to finish the job, get in the dance, and avenge those last 2 losses in Detriot. Believe it, and you'll be world champs or at least have a chance to be world champs.

Go Damn Rams!!!

I was close to burying this team at 1 - 4.

But I did say back then that if any team can come back from 1-4, it would be a McVay team.

I'm glad you love this team, however, I still think if we are lucky we could find a playoff team that'll give us a fourth rounder for Matthew Stafford.
We should wait until Cooper Kupp has a big game and then we could probably get a third rounder for him.
His price is a little down after the no catch game so we'd be lucky to get a Snead deal 6 rounder for him.
Puka Nakua, I would definitely hang on to unless somebody offers us a second rounder.
It is definitely time to blow this turkey of a team up and play fantasy football.
Or maybe we can consult some armchair general managers on who they would draft with those extra picks. :)

I’d be watching the Rams even if they were 2-13 hoping to see some optimistic play for next year.

Again this is the youngest team (or close to) in the NFL. As Soon as I saw the Minnesota game, I knew the Rams could be competitive this year. They Just needed to get healthy. Well, they’re healthy now at the right time finish the season strong and ‘bring the noise’ into the playoffs. No chance they overlook anyone so they just need to win remaining games one play at a time. If they fuck up or get manhandled - make up for it the next play.

You describe me exactly. Even though I thought things were hopeless and wondered if the team could get healthy in time while it mattered, I was going to watch the games, hoping to spot excellence. A 7-2 run this year and a 7-1 run last year is all due to superior coaching in my book.

Hell, I've watched every game, start to finish under Fisher.

That is what has galvanized me to appreciate the McVay years.
I'm bulletproof to a bad game here or there. :)

yeah.. did the same thing..spending DirectTv money just to watch those shit shows every Sunday.. now stream for free and win more often than lose

It certainly didn't look good at 1-4 but I never gave up hope. I've been a Ram fan since '62 and always will be win or lose. Even when we were awful, I always went into the game believing we could win.

Now let's run the table and go into the playoffs hot as a $10 pistol.

Go RAMS!!!

I signed up for DTV after watching video of Vermeil's introductory news conference.

That news conference, I remember Farr saying it made him want to run through a wall for the guy... well for me it motivated me to spend $200 a yr when that was pretty expensive for me and my young family.

BTW, a yr later Farr was bitching about practices being too hard. Lol!!

Farr is a GREAT Rambassador. Loves the Rams!

I think I may have written this season off a couple of times.
Happy to be very wrong.

The longer the season goes on.. the clearer it becomes that they actually had a great plan coming into the season.. but the timing and volume of injuries sabotaged their start.

The season played out more or less as expected, except perhaps for the flurry of injuries to the OL and our top two WRs.

We had a number of rookies and 2nd year players in critical roles who needed to mature as NFL pros as the season went along. They did so for the most part in 2023, and they are doing so once again in 2024. I like what I see with respect to the growth of our young players, but they are still YOUNG!, still prone to doing silly things at critical times.

The return of our injured OL starters was HUGE and just as critical was getting them game though again. Matthew was not sacked against a good 'Frisco D or the Bills, and I don't believe he was sacked against 'Nawleans either. As long as our signal caller remains mostly unbothered, he is a Real Threat to lead this team further than most expect. :fistbump1:

Now lets stop running sweeps with him and keep him safe the rest of the way. Didn't McVay learn anything when he ran that play with old noodle arm and got him injured and out of the Cards game back in 2020

I love how everyone gives the Whiners excuses about injuries but not us earlier in the year of why we were having a tough time. Fuck them.

We are rolling now.

1-4 was a bad fucking place to be, all you can do is put your head down and work your way out. Pretty proud of the culture of this origination from top to bottom.

I damn near wrote us off to knowing the odds we’re compete shit.. but the silver lining is our schedule got easier, home games, and guys coming back from injuries at the same time.

Excited to see how the final of this season comes together at the end of the year.

I had hopes early on but with the slew of injuries... I still held out hope that after Puka & Kupp got back, and Avila & A-Jax, we'd start rolling. And we did. Limmer plugged in & started killin' it, an incredible boost to the O-line. Speights came along & helped Rozeboom turn into a pro-bowler. V8 & Fiske settled in & started converting "pressures" to tfl's & sacks. Karty just made 4 kicks in driving rain.
I really love this Rams team this year. What an incredible job McVay & Snead have done. And out of the fire, they pulled a legit playoff contender.
....plus, we still have Higbeast about to come on-line :)

I think this season says more about the culture than the plan. Sure the plan is great. Draft well, have some vet studs, play complimentary football. The injuries made it tougher as without them, I have to believe we're sitting at 10-4 or 11-3 right now. For sure we beat Chicago and either Arizona or Green Bay or both. But this team drafts and signs quality players who are both talented and care about football. And McVay keeps attracting quality assistants who teach well.
