Boy do I feel great! It's like looking at a different person in the mirror. It hurt like a bitch but I would do it again in a second. Anyone else ever get the surgery?

I only wear glasses for stuff like driving and watching movies. I don't think I'd consider LASIK though because I'm a baby when it comes to things touching my eyes. One of my very best friends is a medical doctor and encouraged a friend not to get LASIK because it's a relatively new procedure and is not sure if there will be any side effects.

PS - Not trying to worry you. Plenty of doctors probably encourage it and he's not an eye doc.

No problem. It definitely has its risks. Some people can actually go blind after the procedure. But it's usually pretty effective. I was probably their worst patient all day. I was told to stop moving at least three times lol

I dont know how you did it man, I cant stand my eyes being messed with.

one time I was driving with my window down and a tiny little rock went in my eye, my shit was irrotated for 2 days so I went to the DR, they put some dye in my eye and used a blacklight to find it. After they were like ok hold your eye lids open while we stick this miniture toilet plunger looking mother fucker on your eyeball. So here I am with this bullshit suction cup inside my eye lids wrapped around my eye ball while its got a cord sticking out with saline water just shooting my pupil, I jumped off the fucken chair and just ripped the cord off the eye plunger and im stumbling around with this shit sticking out of my eye.

Never again. Next time I'll just shoot a bottle of clear eyes in my eye myself.

Thanks man but it's really not as expensive as people think. For me it was $2300 per eye. But with insurance it's $3300 all together. They put me on a no interest 2 year payment. $138 per month is totally worth having clear vision for the rest of my life.

I am too much of a whimp to do it.

Got lasik in 2007 when I was 18. Had it in India. 8 years later and I still have perfect vision. Best thing I've ever done.

Cool man.
I am glad I got it. My blink reflex (and gag reflex) is super sensitive. The doctor also told me I had meaty eyelids (figures....one part of my body that is extra meaty and its my eye lids) so it was a challenge for him, but, it worked. Sometimes if my eyes get tired from staring at a computer all day at work I will notice one eye is more in focus that the other....the weird thing is which eye varies. Outside of that its been great. Being able to wear normal sunglasses while driving....priceless.

Yeah that's literally the same thing I noticed. Sometimes I'm staring at my phone(mostly at ROD (y)) and my left eye will be slightly out of focus. But I'll take that over having to wear glasses forever. And yes, today was the first time in my life I've been able to comfortably wear sunglasses. So that was awesome.

I wish I could get it but my doc says I'm too far gone, need lens replacement. He wishes cataracts on me every visit so that my insurance would pay for it. So stuck with the strongest script he can dish out for the time being. I can't leave my glasses outside because it would start a fire.

I heard it was only good for so many years, not your whole life. I might wanna check into it. For years I just needed reading glasses and its a pain every time I wanna look at something up close I gotta pull the glasses out first. Now, I noticed things aren't hi def anymore. I use weak strength reading glasses for watching TV and higher strength for reading. But if Lasik is a lifetime thing, I might check it out. Would be worth it to not be looking through bifocals or carrying around two sets of glasses.

Nope. Your whole life. Obviously your eyes will get worse as you get older. But it's definetely the best option.
