If you get the Athletic, Jourdan’s latest is fantastic.

I think, as Rams fans, we’re kinda lucky to have her covering the team right now because she’s really in-tune with McVay.

I also think you’ll feel better about McVay sticking around a few years.

I didn’t realize that Jourdan was the reporter that Cam Newton insulted when he said she asked him a question, and he dismissively said, “It’s funny to hear a female talk about routes”.

I’m guessing that is how the Rams got her. She’s one of the best imo.

I don’t think that was why.

Rich Hammond was pushing hard to bring her to LA after Vinny left, he was/is a big fan of hers. She’s a west coast girl, so it was a natural move… bigger market close to home.

That might be.

Shortly after that incidence someone did some digging on her past racial slurs on Twitter and tried to ruin her credibility. I figured the entire controversy had to make things uncomfortable in Charlotte. Maybe it was a bit of both

Read more about that story....not worth posting and getting the thread locked, but fascinating that she and others were outraged and then someone found something she posted on twitter a few years prior to that.

EDIT: apparently I needed to read your next post first lol

You’re cheap ;).

People not being willing to pay for content will/is leading to diminished coverage, imo. Sports and otherwise.
You missed the thread on what it was like for us that followed in the 70's - 90's. It makes today feel like a plethora of coverage almost too much to digest. I am a fan of specialty rags with dedicated writers I think it adds quality and depth if that is how you like to digest content.

Lol… I’m old enough to have experienced all that.

Most of today’s coverage is shitty “free” stuff. Aggregators and guys who never attend a single practice.

That’s WHY it’s so important to pay for the good stuff.

Jourdan and Klein are the only 2 true beat writers covering them.

I like reading the articles from the dedicated writers and agree that there is a ton of trash & clickbait. As far as who pays, the consumer or the advertisers or a mix of both it just depends on your marketing strategy. In the case of the Athletic the subscriber cost is nominal which is a win win for most of us.

Gee and I fell in love with my wife instantly when she knew that the Officials used un popped popcorn to weight down their penalty flags. If she had broken down receiver routes, I would have proposed on the spot.

I like her content but Im sorry I just cant listen to her ramble so much in weird tangents. I know she knows she does ramble and she apologizes for it. But yes she does have alot of respect from me

It's not great without Hammond to act as an interviewer/counter point on the podcasts but it's still better than all other Rams content out there.

A little more action and a little less conversation.
