What a dipshit. He had to know he was getting released regardless and needs to be as appealing as possible to QB needy teams. Now he just fucked himself out of likely millions. He certainly is still better then many back up QB's throughout the league. Hell, we had talentless Rypien as out backup.

Imagine having him and Wentz as our backups next year :laugh1:

Who would of thought that possible 4-5 years ago?

At the risk of being smacked-around a little bit ... sometimes, you just got to take a beating ... why wouldn't Garoppolo be a viable candidate to be the Rams' back-up in 2024?

Garoppolo is known to not want to do the work. Dude disappears and is not reliable. He is not even remotely in play for us as backup, and if the Rams were to go get him it would likely be a mistake. You don't want guys on this roster like that.

There’s always a place for him as the feature dancer on stage 1 at Talleywackers I in SF or Talleywackers 2 in Vegas.

Man I wonder how good the 9ers would have been if Kyle had out maneuvered Sean to acquire Stafford?
Its absurd how dangerous they are with Game Manager's like Jimmy G-String.

As far as him competing for Rams Back-up spot....gimme Wentz every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
I know it's once removed, but I don't want his 9er stank anywhere near the Rams.

And how would you k own of this establi.ent or that it has multiple locations :laugh2:

Wentz is a good backup but it remains to be seen if he will stay. He still wants to start though I don't see where he could. No matter where he would go it would be only as a bridge QB. IMO he's best staying here until he can find a situation where a team is desperate like Mayfield did with Tampa. He came here hoping for a long term starter as a replacement for Stafford because like me I'm sure he feels Stafford is not likely to play beyond this year. If they do draft a QB Wentz could be a one year bridge in 2025 that would showcase his value as a starter for some team.

I can see Wentz not signing with anyone to see how the draft shakes out. Some disappointed team may give him an opportunity.

Regardless, the Rams need to be looking at the long term QB1 needs. This draft offers multiple opportunities to find that guy. With Stafford playing this year that rookie would have the perfect opportunity for a redshirt year to acclimate to the NFL and polish technique and to simply sit and learn from one of the best.

Whether they stay take one at 19 or they will take a QB in a trade-up in the second and take one there. The major difference is a first round QB offers them the 5th year option so they control his rights for 5 years, basically allowing them to sit him for a year behind Stafford.

Tough Crowd.

I am hoping for a competent veteran back-up-QB for less than$4M. That's tough to find.

Should Stafford go down for 2-4 games, a competent back-up might be the difference in one game; and that could be the difference between making the playoffs, and NOT ... or winning the Division, and NOT.

There's not a lot of candidates out there. Think Wentz and Garoppolo (if he's released) are good options.
If Taylor Heinicke is released, he could be another one. After that ... ???? ... Tannehill, Trubisky, Dobbs ... UGH!

McVay has helped so many coaches' careers. Maybe he can have that impact on a veteran quarterback.
Baker Mayfield threw four touchdowns in five games, with two victories; and got a really good opportunity.

I'm talking a one-year-deal, with incentives for starts and/or wins ... with a highly-regarded head coach ... on a high-profile franchise ... backing-up a 36-year-old-QB that takes brutal hits because he is as tough-as-nails.

There's only a couple good options that I see potentially available.

Plus ... be honest ... you all know it is true ... the guy is Dreamy.
