I figured we would be low on Pro Bowl selections, but I was shocked our only one was Verse. He is like 3rd on sacks and tackles. Must be all of the rookie hype that came this year from the media.

Crazy to add that there is a huge list of alternate Pro-Bowl selections. Not a single Ram on the list. RBs include Hubbard and Ekeler. What a joke.

Congrats to Jared. Well deserved. :bomb:

I guarantee tackles around the league were shitting themselves facing the kid so that Pro Bowl is one of those rare acknowledgements you get from the player base right out the gate that the boy is special.

Look forward to him growing with this defense. And I hope Les and Sean prioritize another DL to help make that front a dominating unit which will make it harder for OL to nullify this kid.

To think his selection is like throwing a bone to a dog, is ridiculous. There is more to playing Dline than just sack numbers as everyone of us should know. I am shocked that Braden Fiske isn't anywhere....

Let the TEAM get a chip on their shoulder from this. As much as I like Verse, he want even the best Dlineman on this team. You could easily argue that Fiske was more impactful and clearly had the numbers to support it.
If we're going by numbers, Kobie Turner was the most impactful Dlineman. They've got the same number of sacks but Turner has more total pressures.

I'd still argue that Verse was the most impactful despite having fewer sacks. He by far leads the team in total pressures and is the best run defender on the DL. He's creating numbers for the other guys.

Disgusted that K-Will wasn't at least an alternate. I can understand why Turner, Fiske, and Nacua didn't make it, but it doesn't make me hate it any less. But K-Will not even being an alternate is bullshit.

On the subject of K. Williams, considering the fact that 1/3 of the votes are by the fans, I'm not surprised that he didn't make it. He's not flashy, not a highlight reel type of RB.

I seen something last night, that KW had only TWO runs of more than 20 yards all season. That's insane.
So basically, he's the most consistent runner, but extremely slow by NFL standards.
You don't get on highlight reels by doing that.

Here is how PFF has rated Rams this year:
(1st / 130 means rated 1st of the 130 players rated at that position)

I think some are only watching Ram games. There are many good players on other teams obviously.
The only deserving Ram players would be the top 5 on this list.
PFF is usually very accurate.

Puka - 1st / 130
Dotson - 6th / 75
Verse - 10th / 119
Turner - 14th / 125
AJ - 17th / 78

Whittington - 29th / 130
Tutu - 36th / 130
Speights - 26th / 85
Evans - 10th / 33

Curl - 34th / 96
Hav - 28th / 78
Kupp - 49th / 130
Kinchens - 36th / 96
Kyren - 38th / 62

Fiske - 69th / 125

Young - 74th / 119
McCullough - 60th / 96
Rozeboom - 56th / 85
Karty - 37th / 44

Lots of injuries on this team, particularly the 1st half of the season. This probably took a number of Rams players off the pro bowl list, for example Puka...

No Troy Reeder...blasphemy!

Happy for Verse, I think he’s gonna have a pretty good career for us

But does anyone else feel like Fiske jumps out at you more on screen? It seems like he gets to the quarterback more often. I was somewhat surprised Verse was the only pro bowler

I like Braden Fiske, but he needs to do something about his issues vs. the run.

He is ranked 121 of 144 DIs in the league vs. the run.
He gets pushed around.
When 2B teamed he really gets pushed around . . . and back.

He is 43rd of 144 in pass rushing. Kobie Turner is 36th in pass rushing.

Verse is creating opportunities for the other linemen with his pressures.

The Rams are lucky other players are taking advantage of his play.
