Well Bush broke the NCAA rules that were in place at the time he played. Giving him back the Heisman doesn’t change that fact. Great college player who was essentially a journeyman professional.

I'm hugely divided on this.

One side he knowingly broke the rules and there is always consequences for that.

The other side of that is NCAA is basically a monopoly and aren't paying shit for using the likeness and image of players the make hundreds of millions off. They should be paying players and should of been for years now.

NCAA one of the most hypocritical Major organizations out there.

I'm with you, but still glad he got the trophy back. He faced the consequences of breaking the rule.
The rule was later deemed to be complete and utter bullshit so he got his trophy back with "time served".

Corbin's my boi! ~ Reggie B

Reactions: Corbin
The trophy was earned by what he did on the field. What was given to him off the field didn’t make him a better player
This. Not to mention the huge sanctions USC had to pay for it. Its seems ludicrous with the changes nowadays.

Wasn't one of the main issues that his Mom got an apartment near the stadium so she could go to his games?

Bush was scapegoated for USC's transgressions, which of course USC was scapegoated in the first place by the NCAA who was trying to prove a point.
This coming from a die hard Notre Dame fan who had his heart broken by the "Bush Push" and despises USC with a passion due to the long standing rivalry.

Actually Reggie Bush parents got to rent a house in Lake Elsinore for almost nil from Reggie's agent.

And USC is supposed to know that Reggie's parents got a house that is 3 hours from the USC campus.

Uh huh - right

I will never forgive him for single-handedly defeating my team in a fantasy football championship game one year. 28 fucking points in the title game...

Reggie fucking Bush as a Detroit Lion. Are you fucking kidding me....?!

Fuck him and his Heisman.

Reggie broke the rules, now the rules don’t exist. It all seems meaningless. My guess is that after all of the hoopla, that trophy will feel a bit meaningless to Reggie too.
