i surprised my 13 year old daughter last week with a trip to see the Imagine Dragons in concert at the Wells Fargo Center in Philly. I was the one surprised! Those guys put on one hell of of a show. I dare say I've never seen a better concert. If you get a chance to see these guys, don't miss it!

On a side note, with all the supposedly heightened security around the 4th holiday, we didn't have to go through a metal detector and our bags were not even searched. I went through more security at concerts back in the 70s. I was a little shocked.

Just how many concerts have you attended Bo ?
You talking about the ones I remember? A couple dozen or so.

The epic ones that the Imagine Dragons compared to, no shit, are Eagles, Aerosmith,Kiss, and Springsteen. They were that good.

I never would have expected to hear that.

My buddy took a client to the show in DC last night and said they were amazing. I like my music a little heavier (going to see Deftones on my birthday in 3 weeks!!!), but I have heard more than a few times that Imagine Dragons put on a great show.

They may put on a decent show, but I have to classify Imagine Dragons, bands like X Ambassadors, Band of Horses, etc.. into the column of man waif music

Don't get the man waif

Why is your voice trembling as if you've been naked alone in the woods for the week, dude?

These sort of bands have one goal in life it seems nowadays and that's to make it on a Jeep commercial or a Volkswagon ad

Haven't seen these guys.
I generally like heavier music.
There have been a few shows I went to sort of rolling my eyes but ended up being blown away. Chris Isaak was one, really good. Very Elvis-y....in good ways, not bloated-doing karate moves Elvis. Pink was another. Don't care for her music, but, great voice live and really entertaining.

I've heard that about Pink. I got free tickets to Tom Jones one time in Vegas, yeah that guy and he surprised me as well. He had a really good back-up band which may have had something to do with it.

Have I been out of the loop for so long that I never ever heard one of their songs?

They don't play Imagine Dragons on Bluesville XM I guess
