I'm going to really try to live by these words this year and enjoy each moment of what could be a special season.

The Rams have a team that is talented enough to compete for a title. Can they do it in a season in which they have captured headlines by trading for a new franchise QB, can look forward to playing the Super Bowl (if they make it) in their new stadium (in the first year in which fans can attend), and do so just as Hollywood celebrates the greatest Rams season ever with a biopic about Kurt Warner?

There are no guarantees, but I'm going to try to savor every moment along the way.

That can be harder to do than to say. As a fan, I'm always a bit worried, concerned about personnel issues, and tempering my optimism with caution. I agonize during close games, and brood a bit when the losses come. I know I can't change all that, but I really want to try to stop, look around, and appreciate the ride that we may be on.

If it doesn't work out, so be it.

But if it does, I don't want to miss it.

Here's a fun fact...

Mia Sara, who played Sloan, has ben married twice and had a child with each husband. Her oldest is the grandson of her first father-in-law, Sean Connery, and her youngest is the granddaughter of her second father-in-law, Jim Henson.

And its safe to assume that Jason Connery and Brian Henson have both seen Sloan naked.

In a lot of ways this board helps me do what you're saying, in terms of enjoying the moment. It's like free counseling for my rabid foozball addiction. :hug:

It's the way football is supposed to be. Not worrying about things like draft picks, cap spaces, contracts, etc.

I try to take Bueller’s advice but I can’t bring myself to do it. I don’t sit around wringing my hands over roster moves but I think I am too intense. For instance my neighbor brought out his big screen tv and had a White out party for Penn State/Auburn. I didn’t go, because I didn’t want to be distracted…….and that was just college. I doubt I’ll ever go to a Pro game. The last time I went to a college game, I was overly annoyed by all of the standing. I’d rather sit at home and enjoy the game peacefully and not have to wait two hours to hit the highway on the way home.

Sometimes I think maybe I’m too focused on only one part of the experience.

Rams bro, this fits me to a T. I almost dont enjoy it like I should. Thanks for letting me know that I’m not alone.

It sure is a lot of fun going into Sunday’s knowing we are one of the best teams. Makes Saturday fun too.

Soak it up! This is a very good team.

I don’t know if we do it to protect our “heart”, but we tend to enjoy sports in retrospect. Good post @AvengerRam enjoy the ride! (AND the retrospect)

Just sold my Rams/Bucs tickets to a guy in his 50s who is taking his new girlfriend to their first NFL game ever.

Gave him big discount. Guy's my hero. Living his best life. He's a Ram fan, so here' s hoping to give him a memory he'll never forget!
