I'm curious to what us on ROD thinks what will happen and I'm debating this in my head.

Obviously Goff is our future etc etc etc. As been stated many times but how short of a chain is Keenum on? I love winning more than anything and just as long as we keep winning does Keenum stay the starter? If we lose one game like this Buffalo game will Goff be put in? I'm guessing matchups pretty well this year compared to knowing what to expect from this so interested to see what the rest of your opinions are as a whole.

Depends. If Keenum does a Fitzpatrick interception spree or a Shaub pick 6 parade then throw Goff in. But if he does a 290+ 3 or 4 passing td game(near impossible I know) n we loose. I say keep him in.

Think positive man!...I don't understand negative narrative. I should label this inappropriate. Don't ruin the mood. Even if we win Goff should have a shot. I think. If we are ahead of the Bills 14-0 4th qtr we can throw in Goff and get play time experience but have a cushion of security incase of uncertainty.

I am guessing that Fisher would need to see a two or three game meltdown from Keenum to even consider it.

Remember Fisher keeps saying Keenum is 6 and 2 in his last half of the season. So I guess in Fisher's mind that makes him a 12 and 4 QB and other stats are meaningless.

I don't even think we see Goff if the Rams get up by 14 points with two minutes left.

Has anyone seen a back up come in for snap reps in an NFL game as is done in non-conference NCAA games?

In other words, giving a back up 2 series in the 2nd quarter just to get him some work?

I can't ever remember seeing that in a regular season NFL game.

Not so much commenting to you Gnome but I have seen others with a similar thought process.

Unless Keenum looks horrific in LA, I don't think Goff starts until after the bye. Keenum is scrappy and will sacrifice his body to win, and will run the ball if necessary. I just don't think we will lose , for one, this week..but even if we do, Keenum will start in Detroit, imo.

The ship sailed for me on seeing Goff play. I just want to see the offense improve each week and at this point I don't care who's under center.
Cooper should be getting involved soon and Gurley is due to break out.
All I care about is beating the Bills

The Eagles did that with Ron Jaworski and Randall Cunningham back in the mid-80's, as Jaws' career was winding down and Cunningham was a rookie. Randall would come in for a series or two in the first half -- sometimes also in the second half, if the Eagles had either a comfortable lead or no shot at winning the game.

It's unconventional, for sure -- but not unprecedented.

I just want to see some improvement from the offense. See Tavon and Gurley break out. More downfield passing. Building on the last 2 weeks there.

I want to see this line gel. I want to see a defense that shuts the Bills down. We may be "bend but don't break" but let's see a sub 300 yard effort, huh?

At just the right time, Goff will be added to the formula.

Patience. Enjoy the process.

If we are 3-2, maybe if its a bad loss.
If we are 4-2, maybe if its a really bad loss.
If we are 5-2 or better, no.

No! The only way Goff could start is if Keenum goes down. Then the Rams are in trouble because the playback gets restricted!

I'd say it's near impossible for Keenum to put up those numbers, seeing as he has NEVER done it. And if he does, the Goff was a waisted draft pick. It's not going to be difficult for opposing defenses to start jumping all of the short routes and completely shutting this offense down. That will be on Keenum, regardless of his INT stats.

He did it his second game he started with the texans: 350 yards, 3 TD, no INT.

That was the game Kubiak had a stroke at halftime.
