One misguided soul once accused me of playing favorites. But the truth is that I give a like when someone puts in extra effort by posting a video, pic, or article or giving me something to think about. I don't necessarily have to agree with their point of view but only appreciate the effort the member made in their post or reply. I also give a like when someone posts something that makes me laugh. What about you? Why do you give someone a like?

It really depends on the topic. If it's a Rams or sports related topic I'll give a like where I either agree with the stance or appreciate a thoughtful post that adds to the discussion. If it's in an off topic I'll give one if I like the post or it's a song of the day I really like. There have been a couple songs posted there that got me on a music trend for a couple hours while browsing YouTube.

Hmmm. Never really thought about it before.

I don't think I have a method. I give likes when people post good articles, or make me AOTN, or for being creative, or adding good points to a discussion, or simply by telling me how awesome I am. lol.

When ever I damn well feel like it. Them kissing up to me always helps though.

Seriously, when someone makes a post, whether I agree with it or not, but is in the tenor this site was created for, I almost always give it a like. When someone goes the route of being the bigger man by either admitting they are/could be wrong, or just moves on with a different thought while someone is trying to engage them in a twirpish sort of way, I dig it and will give them a like. Well thought out points get a like. Things I find funny get a like. Anything @-X- posts because he is like Wiley Coyote - super genius - man. Blue font obviously not needed here. Boobies and Booties generally get a like unless they are some of those big ole booties that Mojo posts . Hot chick posts are virtual locks.

Other than that, it pretty much is when ever I damn well feel like it.

See?

I have a really high "like" standard, if something makes me literally LOL rather than just AOTN, or if I'm directly debating something and someone replies in a respectful manner, whilst making a good point that makes me reconsider my original stance.

Normally pull for the underdog so that will get a like. (duh I am a Rams fan) I have a dry sometimes dark sense of humor so that stuff gets a like. Most stuff that doesn't end with go f yourself.

1. Something I have strong agreement with
2. Something funny or creative
3. Someone that responds to a post of mine, acknowledging their POV
4. If an exchange I don't agree with, a like means "I hear you"
5. A post that demonstrates considerable effort
6. An accidental hit of the like button scrolling my touch screen :sneaky:

A post that makes a concerted effort to convey their point in a meaningful and respectful manner. A post that I either agree with wholeheartedly, or one that gives me thoughtful insight to an opposing idea. And of course a post that makes me laugh, or any post on the "No Pirates, Just booty" and "Boobies" thread.

I generally follow this logic of "like".

There's a lot here @ROD to "like"
