Having played in only one game this preseason, do you think he makes the 53?

No, I'm not talking about Gurley. I'm talking about Nelson Spruce. The week 1 star from Colorado who caught everything thrown his way in the dramatic 4th quarter comeback hasn't played since due to injury. Do the snaps he took in just a single game prove to be enough for LA to have him make the roster? IMO, I say absolutely he makes this team, but I want to hear from you guys on why or why not.

Yes. The guy can catch a ball and that's more than I can say about most of the receivers on our team.
Height and raw athletic ability don't mean squat if you can't catch the damn ball.

Hard to tell but probably makes it, if not PS for sure. Did he have an injury history in college? Fisher won't keep him if he can't stay healthy. He cut the best receiver he's had since being Ram's HC with DX so you never know.

None of the other guys really proved much of anything, so yes, keep him, and keep 6 WRs.

Fish loves Spruce and I say he stays, or Fish is a fool. Spruce is one of the few high points this preseason.

Yeah, but I hope this doesn't end up like another Danny Amendola dilenma. We haven't had reliable receivers since Bruce, and Holt...

I'd honestly rather give McRoberts a shot at this point over Quick. I'm just done with the Brian Quick experiment.
Understood.
The main reason I think he sticks is outside of Britt, who gets nicked up a lot, and Austin there are no other vets in the WR corp without Quick. He is an inexpensive veteran depth. I don't think the team would want to be two injuries away from an all rookie WR group. Much more than just running routes. Being able to read coverages and blitzes and be on the same page as the QB is a big part of I as well.

He did not miss a single game in four college seasons due to injury or otherwise.

If you're referring to having an uber-talented football player who gets injured all the time i agree. I want no part of that.

I think Spruce made the team game #1 and they've been treating his knee with extreme precaution

I would be surprised because he hasntbshowed anything vs real competition
He's shown more than any of the other young guys who've played vs the same competition, and they've had MANY more opportunities to shine and haven't done anything really except drop passes.

I get it. You're not a fan. You've made that perfectly clear. Not sure why though.

McRoberts and Duke didn't get that many opportunity. Spruce was force fed in 1 game vs 3rd stringers... it's not that im not a fan I just don't get rhe hype... He's ok but would have liked tonsee him vs better competition... If they keepnspruce no way they keep marques
